  1. If you have the skills to hit double down, then you can get a ride. There were no wet spots yesterday evening when I rode and my tires were clean coming off. My guess is quarter notch still has several wet spots and I wouldn't go anywhere near Mulligan or peddlers.

  2. It's a 2 or 3 day cycle that goes from spotless to crap back to spotless.

  3. IMO there’s nothing in Texas that calls for a 29er 160 fork. The smuggler is made for this type of terrain.

  4. +1 for intense primer. It’s a totally KICK ASS BIKE. And if you want aluminum, check out the Guerrilla gravity trail pistol. All GG bikes are super awesome

  5. When I was trying to time my Friday ride to avoid commuter traffic, I threw my approximate times into a spreadsheet. This'll work for anyone who wants to know when they'll be arriving at different landmarks assuming that the % of the total trip for each section is relatively the same for everyone. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SAP_OOxad0ZXyHloGQXIX2AnwqKqWZqp3VtgeLv8vLk/edit?usp=sharing

  7. Although Reimers was open to mountain biking today, I would avoid this trail system for a good couple of days. It's wet in many places, with deep ruts, and riding will only damage it further. In addition, the extensive rainfall has allowed grassland features to flow over the trail - meaning that you can't see where you are going.

  8. First Blood and I check it today. It needs a day to dry. Apparently, there was a lot of rain overnight.

  9. Everything in Austin (spider and cat mtn included) can be ridden on a smuggler for sure. The bike will not be as forgiving, and you’ll need your riding skills more ona shorter travel bike, but it can definitely be done. Shorter travel is just gonna climb better, accelerate better, etc etc. After racing enduro and riding trail on my intense primer 29 in the 130r/140f configuration, I definitely prefer it over my other longer travel bigger bikes unless we are gonna be seasoning the whale tale or other big features. The majority of riders don’t hit features like that so a smuggler would definitely be my recommendation. But if you want a bigger “do it all bike” that you can take to the DH park and all that, you can’t go wrong with a sentinel. This 👆 I mean I can show you some stuff that definitely could warrant a 160mm fork around town, but not sure about being specific to 29er/160mm whatever difference that makes. But I would pretty wholely agree with this statement.

  15. Looks like the top of my tool box after I've been working on things. I'll clean and organize my tool box and within days it looks like that again. It's a phenomenon that happens in any working shop. Spent 25 years in body shops, any horizontal surface becomes a sh*t stacker. Including vehicles that stayed in one place too long.
