  1. Well you see it's a long historied tale as old as the ages themselves. It involves haters and people who just dont give a f**k. Legend has it that it was named Quater Notch out of spite for the hate received whilst under construction from one particular hater. Thos hater was also a self proclaimed bad ass. And whenever one would say WOW Deception is hard and techy...said hater would chime in with "it's only a 1/4 notch more effort than Walnut". So when the overlords in power put down the hammer and said no trail in their lands would be named Deception we had to come up with something else. It had to be split in 2 segments since one half is clearly harder than the other. Now Deception was an unbeatable name. So what does one who does not give a f**k do when forced to take away an awesome name? You name it something ridiculous stupid and rooted in spite. Therefore the easier part of Deception was henceforth to be known as QUARTER NOTCH Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  2. This sounds good. But Texas would have to also rank somewhere near the bottom if not THE bottom of amount of open land space available to the public in relation to land mass. Other states have problems on how to manage so much BLM land. Everything here seems to be gobbled up by private ranches, corporate entities , municipalities, or preserve land. Just my un informed rant. Hopefully this is a move in the right direction for more publicly available land. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  3. Ordered a PNW based on the reviews online and comments here. Basically my KS i950r is to the point of not rising back up. It is ~$80-100 to service it, so $200 for a brand new one with a 3 year warranty is a good deal. I'll keep my old one as a warranty backup to put back on the bike if I have to ship the PNW in for service.

  8. Bella Vista iirc. Literally right at the trailhead, nice bathrooms, laundry facilities, and super friendly staff. I don't remember them being to expensive either. I'd spend a week there if I liked the trails more. Actually, I'd still spend a week there.

  10. So this place isn't going to win any awards... But my wife and I stayed two nights back in May and it was fine... Great price, nice staff, clean room, kitchen, bike friendly, everything you need. But it's cheap, so you'll get a mixture of people who stay there. https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?hotel=4063&arrive=12/20/2018&nights=1&adult=2&currency=USD&start=availresults&src=goog&utm_content=mapresults_20-12-2018_1_4063_US_desktop_default_514371743&gclsrc=ha&gclid=AA80OswlqU1Z5kqL8PWnlk5xnuUOTBA3KRrfigR_UbiIYcMRa-ymi2LOq3AC_LwjXcmfcPaEhWvpe4wnLM3fts4KfMlwuQoi49SPJw

  13. I looked up Subchapter C of the Texas Transportation Code. What am I missing? What applies is Austin codes anyway. To be honest, those things look like fun and they seem to have little impact on the trail. They are not high torque by nature of the fact that it has a single wheel, so they cannot apply high torque. The guys look like they're working hard balancing. It looks like surfing on land. My biggest fear is if they decide that less roots or rocks would be better. Will wait for the 29er version. Edit: I just caught their promo video which shows someone doing what equates to a burnout on dirt.
