  1. If you're fast enough you'll be able to clear the middle of the bridge.....oh.....and we fixed the drainage issues and stopped people riding through the creek.

  4. This posted on FB: "Tape is down on Peddlers Pass west side. Please come ride lots of laps. There are 2 berm areas that are still unfinished and blocked/temp rerouted with blue tape. Hopefully the thunderstorms miss us this afternoon and we can compact them in the morning and open the whole loop back up."

  6. He's such a stickler for the rules of golf that he won't even ride the trail because of the name.

  7. Moab is not a good place to find out your brakes don't work. My only experience with Avids was riding with a buddy who had them on his Giant. They would squeal like a stuck pig in all weather, all the time. I hated those damn things but they made him faster because he never wanted to use the brakes. Maybe that's the Avid game plan??

  10. Rode this AM. 1/4 was dampish and wet in th e usual low spots. But overall nice. DD was good. Rim was great as usual. Snail trail. I rode the trail across the top.. not the drops as it looked wettish. Picnic (Upper) was good. Picnic (lower) was sloppy last night so didnt bother today. Didnt touch Picnic X I can't stand Mulligan so didnt bother. Candyland was sweet. Gnargasm was good ..just dampish Didnt bother heading toward Gumdrop as experience says it is sloppy. Looking at the skies now I hope the rain stays away. Didnt bother with Peddlers either as the Ogre by the bridge looks scary in the picture Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  12. My buddy went to outerbike moab a year or so ago, and had to wait on multiple occasions for bikes to have their guide brakes serviced before being demo'd. Trying magura this time around

  13. If you are referring to the a frame bridge the answer is 3 fold. 1. Yes it was coming apart 2. It was intimidating to beginners and forced them into the creek 3. The bridge was ultimately too short and always had mud hole on exit because water would rise to that spot and Those who took the creek added to the erosion by widening the creek and carrying water up the trail. 15. I can't believe people still tolerate SRAM brakes. If I bought a bike that was 99% perfect but came with SRAM brakes, they would go in the trash and be replaced before they could cause and problems for anyone.

  16. I just spent about 30 mins trying to find the Jerry of the Day where the kid on a fully rigid walmart bike tries to take on Cru Jones. Couldn't find it anywhere, sadly.

  17. It's true, it's open. It needs lots of wheels on it to help compact/smooth it.

  19. It has only widened by users riding a little wider in spots no trees except the ones that fall get removed. At least not to my knowledge. It was meant to be a tight twist short trail. We are going for a wide variety of types of trails in Brushy area and some of you weirdos like the tight slow twisty crap that makes you wonder if you will leave with a broken hand. The exit was pure luck that we made that drop work. The original exit was much less flavorful. I typically bypass it these days or go up the quick way and do CRU Jones drop only Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  22. Ha ha. Love it. Never did pick up the tin-foil hat, though a career in IT and a firm understanding of the underlying principles of 'TANSTAAFL' have kept me wary of "FREE" since before Zuckerberg was a wistful look in his daddy's eye. If someone is going to profit from my participation I'd like a cut. Otherwise, move along, no data to harvest here. Still, I sincerely wish you the best on the TMERP just the same. Sounds like a way to make it easier for some folks to get involved. (just don't ever invert that M ...)

  23. What's Facebook? Oh yeah, that's that that thing where a person becomes a company's product by sharing personal and demographic information so a huge corporation can profit from marketing the data, right? 🙄

  24. My last used bike came with Avid/Sram brakes and they were the first thing to go on Craigslist. Hope's FTW.

  25. Clockwise is how it should always be, though I do appreciate the need to reverse it occasionally to combat moto-induced wear.

  28. Went and rode snow white just now and part of gumdrop. Still some rutty spots on gumdrop. Snow white is beautiful. I was actually thinking today, I think snow white is the perfect trail for a beginner. The 3 things that beginners(myself included) struggle with is technical climbing, downhill cornering, and jumping. Snow white has all three in a nicely packaged loop that you can ride over and over again. I find myself taking those corners a little faster, getting a little more lift off that jump, and dying a little less on those climbs, and I know I'm improving.

  31. I almost want to try this, but I just can't see myself doing anything more than replacing with XT's. How can SRAM get brakes so wrong all the time???

  32. A local shop fixed under warranty as a known issue. But when I got the fixed brakes back I didnt care. They failed me and I lost faith So XTs it was. No regrets Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
