  2. Killing a little time before my flight home from Seattle in the famous Pike's Market. Old Stove Brewing's "Jesus Made This IPA". I always thought he was more of a wine guy.

  3. More Bentonville goodness...: http://www.austinbike.com/index.php/16-ride-pictures/358-bentonville-2019-trip-day-3-coler-preserve And, in other news, I am pretty sure I like this bike. A lot.

  6. You're still missing one, but it would be rather obvious what the rider was doing in front of you

  9. Same bike as my other posts...for now. Salsa Journeyman Apex 1, with 700x43 and 650x48 wheelsets both running gravel king sk’s. Raced it this past weekend and got the itch for something faster. Looking at the Warbird and the Warroad. Those 415 stays on the Warroad got me really itching.

  10. Ok so I guess this is the place for road/gravel riders. I've been doing some extensive miles on my gravel bike lately and really enjoying it. Currently riding a Kona Private Jake but just stumbled upon this damnit! Link. https://theradavist.com/2019/09/evils-new-gravel-bike-embodies-the-brands-rowdy-dna/

  13. You may have it backwards in your mind. Overthinking this may be contributing to the perceived issue. With a longer bar, the movement at the tip is further, as AntonioGG said. It requires a greater movement at the tip of the bar for the same degrees of change in steering to be made. Rather than the smaller movement as you have stated a couple of times. Don't think about it at all, just ride and move the bars whatever it takes to get the job done same as you always have. The change will get calibrated in the CPU (unconscious mind) over a short amount of time without any thought being required. Use the force. 🥓

  15. for what its worth, I recently bought a Garmin Instinct Smart Watch and I really like it. https://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Instinct-Features-Monitoring-Graphite/dp/B07HYX9P88/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3AAUHO27A372S&keywords=garmin+instinct&qid=1569939758&sprefix=Garmin+instinct%2Caps%2C188&sr=8-3 Pros The iOS app for it is awesome and shows lots of cool graphs/stats Syncs with Strava of course 5 to 7 day battery life when I averaged 3 to 5 activities during that week Highly configurable Can mute all notifications from your phone when outside of an activity, but allow notifications when you are in an activity. I don't want my wrist buzzing all day, but I do want it to buzz when I'm riding in case an emergency happens. Looks like a cool GShock watch if you're into those big ugly watches like I am Screen is highly visible because it's black and white GPS tracking works better than my phone did, more accurate Cons Need to wear it pretty tight to make sure you get the most accurate heart rates Sometimes slides down when really sweaty during a ride Takes a few attempts to get used to the comprehensive menu/configuration system on it.

  16. Ha! I was very proud to have kept it to one page! But yes, I know this, and tried.

  17. FYI I run maxxis DHR’s in the rear and I sliced my tire sidewall going down the larger mulligan drop as well. Some of those rocks are really sharp and bad luck will slice any tire.

  22. That looks like a nice rig ... but, I don't see myself buying more fitness equipment until I get rid of the Soloflex (purchased in the 80's) that I have stashed in pieces across various nooks and crannies around the house. Clearing a space at my house to set up something like that would be a pretty good workout in itself.

  23. From Elon's Tweet this afternoon. One from the other side shot by a South Padre local. Next, test flights, ... and construction of the Super Heavy first stage booster this will sit on top of. Having been a boy living just up the road from Johnson Space Center as the space race to Apollo was going on, with school chums whose parents worked there, and now seeing SpaceX carry the torch to the next level right here in Texas, I feel very fortunate to have lived in a time to witness these epic achievements of humanity as we look to expand into the suburbs of the Moon and Mars.

  24. Just about done with the home gym setup. All that's left to do is mount a small TV above the new ProForm Smart HIIT that I just finished assembling. For anybody in the market for fitness equipment, Sears Online is selling ProForm's stuff for hundreds less than any other retailer. This one was on sale for $999 either direct or through Dicks, but I got it for $599 with free delivery from Sears. Also, Sears includes a 1-yr iFit membership whereas the others do not. I would never have believed you could get a machine put together this well for $599. Anybody on here ever used iFit? With 32 onboard programs, I'm not sure that iFit is going to do much more for me. I'd rather listen to music or watch sports on TV than listen to an online coach telling me how well I'm working my glutes.

  25. The Bulldog NICA teams had this same issue and moved to the open parking lot and green space on the southwest corner of Beckett and Slaughter. Someone “in charge” is going to have to be the heavy and just keep reminding people until it reaches a critical mass and just happens on its own. I doubt Frank would ever say anything but maybe if he did, it would carry a bit more weight.

  27. I'm just getting back to where I can ride with groups. I'm usually good for 2.5 hours before the pain in my spine makes me stop, some days it's less. I have some 30mm rise bars due tomorrow, I'm hoping that helps. I hate to slow people down.
