  1. I suggested that we help them out and move it closer to the sidewalk, placing it in the shape of a berm... 😉

  3. Holy shit, if you haven't ridden the last couple of days, you need more medication. last night was amazing weather and dirt. I do want to apologize to whoever the rider was last night that I almost fell into on Rim and possibly knocked down the hill. I'm and old man and I fall over often. GET YER ASS OUT THERE!

  4. For better or worse, all the DH kits are fitting tighter than before. Gone are the days of super baggy moto freerider style. I just bought a pair of those kevlar pants for the wife (not zebra) and they are tight-ish but still loose enough to wear pads underneath them.

  5. How's the weight coming off on October for you? I'm not doing the 100% sober part, but definitely limiting to one drink or none per day* and the weight is coming off fast!

  9. Less gnarly than City Park. Lots of up and down. It doesn't get as much love as other trails.

  10. Mornings have finally cooled off. I went for my first ride in 2 months and it was actually pretty good. I was a little worried about my cardio, but I have been doing MMA for the last two months (boxing, kickboxing, brazilian jiu jitsu) and the cardio carries over. I also lost about 15 pounds which is pretty amazing as Ive been trying to lose the same 5 pounds for around 10 years. If you need something to complement mtb, I highly recommend it. 1) air conditioned 2) can do it at night 3) good workout in only an hour, builds core, flexibility, and cardio 4) will be able to submit off leash dogs and mountain lions

  11. You’re welcome to go to bandera anytime and pay entry to check the place out! They are open Wednesday-Sunday. Its $15 entry normally. This event has special discounted pricing for admission. For the Banduro in bandera event it’s only $10 and gives you access to the park Friday 11/15 - Sunday 11/17

  12. I was kidding. Thumper does need more traffic though.

  14. Are we able to hit this place on the weekend and just pay the $10 fee to get in and ride?

  15. Hey I resent that remark! I was out their in the rain on Tuesday trimming back face-slappers, marking the route....and creating alternate lines around tough features! 😉 Later, CJB

  16. We should talk. I've been mapping out basically the same thing. Not sure when I'll get to do it, but there's potential for a pretty epic ride.

  17. So my trail report is as follows: if Gumdrop East is dry (including rock face at entry) then it’s probably all boobs except maybe peddlers’ dirty butt. but it’s a perfect day for riding whatever is rideable. Encouraged thus far. Update to update - rode all from Gumdrop to YMCA. Imagine the overall weather + hero status of the dirt being a 10. Now translate that in your own head to breasts...whatever that means to you, and that’s how things are out here. Unngh.

  18. I would rephrase that: Pro: 1) Possibility of getting punched repeatedly in the face in the ring where they will stop when you tap out so if the situation ever occurs outside the ring, your odds of being the one doing the punching are improved. On this topic, two of my kids (14 and 16) are interested in doing MMA as an activity. They do gymnastics and rock climbing respectively so they're plenty fit but they need a gym that won't throw them into a ring with Bartman or something. Anyone have any thoughts?
