  2. I was a little cryptic in my last post since nothing is set in stone. Brushy Creek builders are right in the middle of the discussions about the Lakeline MTB trails. We won't do you wrong.

  3. I've been talking with the Parks Director about this. It's undecided at the moment, but he does want the BCB crew input.

  5. Yes, with as much as people complain at times, we are spoiled. I am in New Orleans this week and there are really no real trails to speak of. Lots of urban options, but when it comes to dirt (and elevation), nothing to speak of.

  9. For my helmet light i once used the battery attached to my helmet. Didnt like the weight. So I have the option to use a longer wire. Just run that under my jersey to the battery that is placed in my waist pack. The light on my bars I have running to a battery that I put into a old cut in half water bottle that is in the water bottle cage. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  10. I snagged a pair based on your recommendation, along with a pair of ESI Extra Chunks grips to give them a whirl. Should be here next week.

  11. You mean tiny as in they mostly only cover the bar, and not also the grip, yes? For me, they're only intended to be used as a replacement for the stupid plastic inserts that come with FatPaw or ESI Chunky and the like. The life expectancy of those inserts even less than the foam grips themselves. But I like something there to protect a carbon bar from getting chipped up when it hits a tree the wrong way and to prevent accidental core sampling in a nightmare scenario. But yeah, they work well for holding in grip tape on drop bars as well. I'm glad you found a use for them!

  13. Concept to moving dirt is usually about a year. I'm in construction and deal with that a bit. This project will be phased due to funding. I think to get the trail moved up the priority list we'd need to sell a volunteer effort. Does anyone here stay in contact with Dmitri?

  15. Give each of these sports their own "T" category and let the best trans athlete win. I think the F2M & M2F results will shut a lot of people the fk up. The worst part about it is how these M2F athletes dominate the women's sports further discouraging women from competing. Dudes just keep f@cking sh*t up for women, even when they cut their d*cks off🙄 In the end, when you're splayed out on the autopsy table there are only two choices. M or F and nothing in between.

  16. I read that article this AM. I recall reading about that person in the past and the controversy. Total PC BS. Seems like the governing bodies want to save face over looking like they are banning someone from races Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  18. FYI, if Flat Creek is closed, just ride Perdernales Falls. Its right next door and has about 30 miles of trails.

  21. Anyone going out possibly Thursday Or Friday to ride? Thinking of playing hookie and getting a preview of the trails. I’m traveling the week before so I’m running thin on pre-game opportunity.

  22. According to the fine print on the attachment from the first post, it looks like the flow trail will be about a mile and the return trail will be slightly longer (assuming the #s in the Trail Length column are feet).

  23. The build has not started yet. We are fighting like crazy to get the paperwork in place to build these trails. The lawyers got involved so what should have been easy has become a nightmare. The new trail will not "join" to the existing trail. But you will be able to join them by riding across the road near the maintenance building. If you look at the north end of the map of the new trail, you can see the maintenance building marked. If you look closely at the very north edge of the map- you can see the exiting mountain bike trail.

Just plug in your Garmin over USB and copy the gpx files into the "Garmin/New Files" folder and they will show up in Courses. SATN Social South.gpx SATN Social North.gpx SATN Social East.gpx
