  2. On 1/4 Notch now. Typical East entrance slickness but rest of trail is bueno. I’ll update this post as I check things out. *Update* 1/4 Notch - Slick at East entrance, but rest of trail is good to go! Deception - G2G. Watch for slick spots when riding in the morning. Picnic - Couple low spots have water, but rest of trail is g2g. Watch for those slick leaves!!! Mulligan - Wet g-outs. Blah. Candyland - g2g, but Gumdrop gets sloppy near the creek. Didnt check Rim and Snail but I know from the above they’ll be rideable. Enjoy!

  5. Without question. Stone Xocoveza is hands down my favorite winter beer in the history of my beer consumption. It is expensive, so I limit myself to 1 or 2 6ers when it’s in season, but I recommend this beer to anyone and everyone.

  6. It's almost here. We only have a total of 175 spots available and are well north of 100 sold now. It will likely sell out prior to the event so do not plan on showing up and registering onsite and there be any spots left. If you plan on riding, you need to get signed up ASAP. First, retrieve (if you don't know it) or sign up for a free USAC number here: https://www.usacycling.org/ Then go here and sign up: https://www.bikereg.com/dragonslayer2019 Don't miss out on a chance to win a part of $5000 in swag give aways for completed laps.

  8. For what it's worth: The October 26 SATN Social ride was held 2 days after roughly 3" of rain across all the SATN (according to Hydromet). At least 50% of the trails were rideable. Granted there was a lot of wind the day prior. This event is held 2 days after 0.08-0.12" of rain pretty uniformly. It will be sunny today with 2-6 mph winds all day. My back yard near Williamson Creek (Valero) is moist but firm and "rideable." A guarantee there will be lots of rideable trails, but I could see a few closures. I imagine the organizers will give us the lowdown tonight.

  10. From what I've heard the newer five tens aren't as durable as the older pre Adidas ones. I recently picked up a pair of Ride Concepts Livewires and like them a lot. They grip as well as five tens but are much more comfortable and they have an elastic lace retainer which is really nice to keep the laces tucked away. Got them at Jenson w/20% off for $80 shipped.

  12. Agreed. I walked latta Greenbelt this evening and most trails were tacky with just a couple of wet spots. One day of sun shine should expose some hero dirt!
