  2. I remember in '73 sitting anxiously in my friend's basement while he ripped the cellophane off of the Who's new Quadrophenia album. As we listened to the tracks, I was mesmerized by Love Reign O'er Me. If one of my buddies present at the time would have told me that some 47 years later I'd be getting goose bumps over an elderly black woman covering that same song, I would have just laughed and told them to pass me the bong. That's exactly what's happening now though and it looks like Pete and Roger were having a similar reaction while be honored by Ms. LaVette.

  4. It's hard NOT to find good stuff starting at ATX Bikes. There is a little more technical stuff west of Escarpment (DiscGo DiscGo and No Walk in the Park), and even more technical stuff east of Mopac (Bowie Stonewall). Not miles of it though. SATN is mostly flowy fun, with short rock gardens and features interspersed here and there. Post up here when you are thinking about riding. Lots of folks like to show the SATN off and would be happy to guide you.

  7. I'm going to definitely try that JD SBBP. I hadn't really even thought about the Tennessee vs. Kentucky thing but I do occasionally drink this one from Bulleit and like it a lot too. I have however given up on the Canadian stuff ever since you shamed me for drinking Pendleton 1910. 😉
