  1. That's impressive! If it was my bike it would have fallen while taking the picture. 😅

  2. Thanks! To be honest, I stopped playing close attention after he said, "head CT is clear and shoulder has a tiny chip, no surgery needed".

  5. Damn bro so sorry to hear about your mishap. Really fortunate that you came out of it as well as you did. Is the bone chip in the scapula or the acromion? Pavement don't play! Heal up so we can get out and ride the trails.

  6. Damn Antonio! Glad you’re okay and sorry to hear about your bike. Stick with the MTB. The trees don’t move like the cars. Heal up brother. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Dangit! My turn again. My first encounter with a motor vehicle. I got right-hooked. I'm not going to lay blame or take blame or turn this into that type of discussion, but I'm a firm believer in my ability to put myself in a situation were I have escape options, and I didn't this time. I'm lucky to have gotten off with a bone chip on my shoulder, 3 stitches on my finger and some road rash. I got completely checked out and I'm up and about doing easy chores after watching the TdF final stage. My bike is another story. 2019 Roubaix with a cracked fork, cracked seat stay, probably some other damage in addition to its road rash. My helmet saved my life. EMT said it would have been a different call otherwise.

  8. Finally some cool crisp air on a sunny fall day, No huffing and puffing, just on the trail to play, Hydration's no worry, a single bottle in the cage, Newbies out in mass, this place is the rage, Attacking the features is the name of the game, But at this place oddly each feature has a name.

  9. Order on the website, they give you a time slot. I believe you must have an order online, you can't just pull up. Pulled up, there was a pop up awning with a masked girl and a walkie talkie. She took my ticket # and told me which spot to sit in with my trunk open. It took longer than most places but a guy dropped BBQ in my trunk and then I left. Basically ~15-18 minutes total time, way better than the old lines.

  10. Leave town on 89a going west, in about 10 miles take a right on FR525, stay right at the fork and then just drive in a few miles and find a empty lot. It's all BLM land out there so no services, but it's also free and beautiful.

  11. Got back out around 8am this morning and conditions were superb. Was definitely sweating with the high humidity, but the cool air created a constant chill. So nice to be out there attacking features in a way that is not possible for me in the high heat and humidity. Still in no hurry to check out the new stuff on Snail though - especially since I'm still on blood thinners.

  12. I don't think I've shared my garage set-up. Freshly empty of most superfluous bikes. Overview: Primary bike hanger: Main bench and tools: Sticker fridge:

  13. Double Down was delicious this afternoon. Given the lower temps I went out around 3:30 in order to get back for my 5:30 meeting. Still seemed pretty damn hot and humid, but a helluva lot better than the last time I rode DD, which was back in mid-Jul. Didn't cross paths with any other souls out there today - which made it even better. Glad I got out. Hope to resume riding DD on the regular now.

  17. Some times you have to just order out. Hadn't been to Mangia in years, since they canned the central location which was in my neighborhood. Yeah, not true Chicago pizza but ~95% of the way there:
