I’ve lived all over Texas including Beaumont and I’ve never seen anywhere as red neck as Washington state. You get outside of Seattle and it’s full on “Let’s shoot this old TV with a machine gun in the side of the road” red neck. Freaking crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I found 3 pairs of my favorite, now-out-of-production shoe online last night and bought them all. Should be good for 5-6yrs! I was so stoked. I was ready to buy the ugly ass colors too, but they all had black.

I’m a light sleeper. Sharell and I met on a mountain bike ride 31 years ago. (It was February, cold, spitting rain, and she was glad to be there. I knew she was game.) We have ridden together in nine states through the years, raised two kids who love cycling, and we still enjoy playing together. How much we want to ride, or how hard, or how often doesn’t always line up but we are still out there!

My brother found the picture from my first day mountain biking. City Park 1992. My brother, James, is on the left, and Chris Thomas is next to him. He used to be an assistant manage at BSS on Toomey Road back then, so if you saw a tall skinny guy that looked like him, it was. I'm on the far right. Edit: You can see me wearing that Middlebury jersey Chris is wearing in this picture in the first picture I posted to start this thread. Chris gave that to me at some point, and I still wear it.

I love a good fish and chips. And once again I'm pissed about Uptown Opal Divine's closing. Guess this will have to do.
