  1. If by 'sciatica" you mean low back pain that goes down the leg, then not anymore. I have a squashed disc at L5-S1, but haven't had pain in a while. Yoga, specifically cobra pose (hips on floor, face down, push up 30x keeping hips on floor) helped a LOT.

That's pretty awesome!  Interestingly I don't own the original album and it's not my favorite, but I just recently streamed it like last week!

that bar/brake setup is pretty wild! When I converted the Mary SS to "gravel", I was able to use a normal drop bar and brakes Since the brakes were mechanical, I was able to use typical hood brake/shifter for right hand (just brake on left) though moving from the normal mtb brake levers to the hooded drop bar levers dropped the braking capacity a little bit. I am considering re-converting it back to the OG setup (singlespeed/Mary bars/rigid fork) and possibly selling it, with idea of maybe getting an actual gravel bike down the road.

Lol! 2 days later...maybe it will rain now?

My only issue when casting is if I decide to browse something while watching and that page has an ad with video on it, and that stops the GCN cast.  I need to dig up one of the old ipads to use solely for casting GCN or Flosports (their app works fine on AppleTV but to watch restricted races I VPN to another country on my phone).

Yeah, noted that. I skip to race start, then put phone down. But now that you mention it, pretty sure I have a tablet to cast from. Will try that.

  6. Been using the GCN app on phone, then casting. Tried using the app on GoogleTV, but holy hell was it ass. It would constantly lock up the entire TV, where I had to use the physical disconnect hack.

No issues casting to TV from phone, so that's what I do.

  7. Most all of my riding is done 4-7 pm. Yeah, usually hottest part of day, but more importantly, the least humid part of the day. I am not a heavy sweater, so I need the lowest humidity possible to keep cool. Another benefit for late in day is sun angle, with less overhead and more through trees. Rode Quarter Notch once about noon...never again.  Unless it's overcast/cloudy, then that would be ok.

If I have a weird gap in my shifting between 2 cogs in the middle of the cassette will this tool help? I have a weird sport between like 6 and 8.

Shifting one way I can shift between 6 and 7 but the other way I have to shift twice and then back off one gear. Did it on both cassettes (old and recently replaced) so I think it may be the hanger.

This is exactly why I bought it. Bike was fine, but for a few gears down. Was driving me nuts, because that was the gear I used for the short, ledgy climbs (still easy to crank, but not enough to spin out.) All good now.

There isn’t a big tip or trick. only thing I can think of is that if you use SPDs, set them the the loosest setting while you get used to it.

Really though, It’s all about muscle memory. Over the next few months you’ll be re-wiring your brain to instinctively twist your foot off the pedal instead of sliding it off. It takes time so just stick with it and I guarantee you’ll be dabbing just as fast with clipless pedals as you did with flats.

Shocked myself this past week on Peddlers@Brushy. Rear slid out on one of the rocky turns, and before I had even thought about it, my foot was already unclipped and pushing me back upright through the turn.

Also, had done the "ride flats for 12 rides" thing a while back. Did that. was even able to make the short rocky/rooty climb at back of Mulligan w/o falling off pedals or bike. But, in the end, didn't really like how they felt, so I went back to my trusty 1998 SPDs. Been meaning to move the flats to the gravel bike, but haven't gotten to it yet.

The original Swedish version of the girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy is a much darker version than the James Bond US version.

Need to get Netflix again to see Squid Game it sounds like!

didn't they only ever do 1 with Daniel Craig? Don't recall there being more.  The original WAS much better. and they had all 3 movies.  same with Let the Right One In. Fantastic movie (and book) English remake was ok, but nowhere as good as the original.

Go over to Stuffed on 620 and get some of their andouille. Whole pork smoked sausage vs the ground stuff at H-E-B makes a world of difference. You can also smoke the chicken, duck, whatever a bit before boiling. My fav is with a couple of swamp rabbits or wild duck  🐰🦆

I did it the easy way: packaged andouille sausage, a rotisserie chicken from the hot rack, and frozen, peeled shrimp. Fresh veggies, though, and handmade roux.  Used canola oil for the roux, but now want to try with butter and then again with bacon fat. Smoked chicken sounds good, though I'd have to find it somewhere cooked, as I have neither tools nor skills to do it myself.
