  1. Read the registration form. It will either be 1 horse sized lap or 100 duck sized laps. Seriously, go to the Chumba party on Friday for the latest details.
  2. Rise and shine ladies. Leave your long sleeves at home, it is going to be a warm (and humid) one. See you all there.
  3. Not an official EB ride but... Riding tomorrow (Sunday) morning. Leaving from the Walnut pool parking lot at 8am sharp. Taking the road to City Park and doing a lap in the new (clockwise) direction then riding back to do a lap at Walnut. This ride will include Courtyard, Jester, and Yaupon road climbs. Not a fast ride (walking some climbs on my single speed), but not a babysitting ride either. This is a good way to see the new City Park direction, all major road climbs, and the full Walnut loop. Post up if you are interested.

There is discussion on the Facebook about changing the start time. My EventBrite reminder says 6am. If this goes down with a time change will all the registrants get some sort of notification?

    2018 EB

To EB... or not to EB... That is the question.
  7. Three laps at LGT when it is warm and dry will test you. It will be cold, and may be wet tomorrow. You gotta pay to play... Thanks Mr Nomad whoever you are.
  8. Sounds like a plan. You can pick me up at WC at 8. Thanks for the dirt inclusive change of plans. I will be by the pool parking lot ready to go.
  9. Rained pretty hard last night. I need the miles, so I'm still leaving at 8, but might end up not riding on the trails. The hilly road section took me 3 hours several weeks ago on the single speed. City Park may be good to go. You still up for this Barry?
  10. See you at 8. Anyone else wanna skip the Sunday Ridge Rider Ride and get some extra miles in?
  11. Sunday, Nov 4th. Test your fitness and resolve with an EB pre-ride. Wheels down 8am. Start at Walnut Creek pool parking lot. Ride to City Park. Complete 1 lap. Ride back to Walnut. Complete 1 lap. Be prepared to ride for around 5 to 6 hours and climb / walk all four major road hills on the EB route. I don't have a GPS file. I don't know my average speed. I will not try do drop anyone, but I'm not a babysitter. Post up if you plan to attend.
  12. Thumper bad. Pre-ride good. I will try to make it.
  13. Lots of rain last night. Ride is cancelled.
  14. I will be on a blue Chumba SS. See you wheels down at 8.
  15. Sunday Oct 7th. Wheels down 8am. Start at Walnut Creek pool parking lot. Ride to City Park. Complete 1 lap. Ride back to Walnut. Complete 1 lap. 2018 EB

Rode the GB portion today + some extra credit. Be prepared for some slick rocks and one balls deep water crossing. Other than that, conditions were good. I was surprised that the entrance to EZ-UP wasn't as overgrown as previous years.
  17. I have done this ride 5 times and am usually in the top 10 or 20, but don't have or want GPS. Are we gonna have a problem this year?
  18. Yep, still working. There is also a ride call section for this site that has an EB pre-ride thread that might be good to post up on as well. It feels really strange giving you tech related advice.
  19. This ride might get more publicity on the Mojo site.
