I'm guessing Box 11 speed shifter is not compatible with Shimano 11 speed derailleur?
OOps, just re-read your post, says compatible. So why the "saga"?
There used to be a post on Craigslist from a guy asking for old tubes. I think he said he recycled them or something... I can't find it right now. Probably expired.
Sorry, I just realized my post offers nothing. But I've already gone this far so I might as well click submit.
I have 2 cardboard bike shipping boxes I've been holding onto for no reason. One was from a medium mountain bike, the other was a small road bike. I can supply measurements if interested. I no longer have the foam or other materials. Boxes only. Any takers?
I upgraded a cheap full suspension bike to an air shock and have the old coil shock. I replaced it with a 184 x 44, so I'm guessing that's what the original coil was too. So it's not quite 7.5" or 2" travel, but let me know if it's something that would work for you.
I also use the Insta-gator and love it: fast, simple, & secure. I have a 2nd one for when my buddy joins me, both purchased used on craigslist. I have a standard length bed 2001 Chevy SIlverado and my friend's XL bike only has about 1" extra clearance. But that's with the bike straight. turning the bike might make it work on a short bed.
Thanks for the input. I don't have the frame yet and will be my first carbon fiber one, so I just wanted to make sure it had a little "give". I wouldn't want to break anything.
I just received a set of wheels ordered from chain reaction, these: https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/en/fulcrum-red-zone-500-mtb-wheelset/rp-prod187195
As soon as they arrived I measured the spacing to make sure I got the correct size. They are boost and the rear axle measures 147mm, but should be 148mm. 1mm isn't much, but will it be a problem, specifically in a carbon fiber hardtail frame?
Look into Rouvy as an alternative to Zwift. It has a bunch of different virtual ride options and training workouts.
I'm not a subscriber, but If I was to subscribe to one trainer app/service, I would probably choose Rouvy right now, based on what they offer.
Plus, the premium subscription allows it to be shared with a couple extra users (both of you could use it on one subscription). I don't think Zwift offers anything like that yet.

I only just learned about this from my brother, whose kombucha business 'Element' will be sponsoring and providing beverages (shameless plug). I've never been to Flat Rock Ranch, but looks like it could be a fun track.
Just sharing in case anyone might be interested.
