^^^^ So damn good ^^^^ Billy was onstage with the Stones the first time I saw them in the mid '70s. Dude is a straight up BADASS. Oh yeah, The Meters opened for them. Great concert at the Cow Palace in SF.
  2. I don't know how much time I have left to travel and ride, so I have to get off my ass and just do it. This is a definitely *must do*.
  3. Holy shit. Route distance per day 222.7 mi Edit: The more I read about what he's doing the more impressive it is. Amazing stuff. You have to be a true badass to do what he's doing.
  4. So, 11.5 hour drive. I've got to plan a trip this year.
  5. I have time to volunteer.
  6. Jonny Kim is one for sure. Kim enlisted in the Navy as a Seaman recruit after graduating high school in 2002. After completion of Hospital Corpsman “A” school training, he reported to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training in Coronado, CA. After completing his training at Naval Special Warfare, Kim reported to John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School in Fort Bragg, NC for the Special Operations Combat Medic Course. He was assigned as a Special Warfare Operator to SEAL Team THREE Charlie Platoon in San Diego, California and obtained various qualifications including Military Freefall Parachutist, Combatant Diver (closed circuit rebreather), Naval Special Warfare Special Reconnaissance Scout and Sniper, and Advanced Special Operations Techniques. Kim served as a Special Operations Combat Medic, sniper, navigator and point man on more than 100 combat operations spanning two deployments to the Middle East including Ramadi and Sadr City, Iraq. He was commissioned as a naval officer through the Navy’s enlisted-to-officer commissioning program, Seaman to Admiral-21, following graduation from the University of San Diego in 2012. Upon graduation from Harvard Medical School in 2016, Kim began his medical internship with Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency. At the time of his astronaut selection in June 2017, Kim was a resident physician in emergency medicine with Partners Healthcare at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Kim remains on active duty as a Navy Lieutenant at NASA. And yes, that is a SEAL patch on his astronaut uniform.

I've never seen this error, not sure why.
  9. My damn glasses fog up just walking outside.
  10. I thought about that. I like having my truck, and my bikes. I don't mind a drive as long as there are place I'd like to see on the way.

I have had good luck copying the pic, and pasting it into the reply.
  12. Sounds like a great destination for this fall.
  13. Sounds legit! Well used, well loved, but time to upgrade. Rear cassette was replaced a few years ago and the Fatty fork was added. Bike works great EXCEPT the headstock blew a seal last time I rode it. Could be under warranty, but I'm unsure. Rear tire is new, front is relatively new. Unsure of exact year of manufacture but my best guess is 2002.
  14. Maxxis Mud Wrestler 700x33. Pair that are nearly new, just too skinny for me on my gravel bike. Free for pickup in Pflugerville. You will need to clean the dried sealant out of them.
  15. The look on his face says it all! Well done.
  16. I'm kidding. I'm up 10 pound for the last year, with lower body fat. Thank gawd for already having a home gym.
