Barry
Yes! It's impossible to overstate how great those tacos are.
AntonioGG
Surprisingly they settled in really well. 3 Birria tacos, the consomé, and a carnitas taco and a 500mL coke and I was able to hammer on the way back. The tail wind was nice. The head wind on the way down was brutal. I definitely earned those tacos.

We have flex time. If I get my job done they're happy. That means I'm working right to closing up a few items for the day at 11pm while Paris-Nice stage 4 is on in the background.

I am fortunate to have some flexibility as well. Roglic looks super strong as expected. For the next few nights I will be trying to watch Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adtratico. The racing so far this year has incredible.
ATXZJ
Stopped by St Elmo today after work. So far the Tator is okay. Definitely a doppelbock meets cream ale vibe on this one.

Crunchy. cheesy and savory. Served with consume, you dip the tacos right in to make them even better. I think they are what you've been missing out of your life. And while they are a food truck, and don't have alcohol, they are right next to a Twin Liquors. That's where I scored this excellent Russian Imperial Stout. Just don't go on a Sunday. if you're into making these yourself this guy has a great recipe. I made these about two months ago and they're fantastic. My wife and daughter loved them too. They're pretty easy but take about three hours to cook.
ATXZJ
So this happened in our neighborhood yesterday. Club manager said they sold a little over 750 tickets to the event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/austin-seltzerland-2021-tickets-133159831641?aff=ebdsoporgprofile# Wife says she's gonna walk across the street and hit them up for some free seltzer, and I proceed to tell her she's crazy and there's no way she'll get anything from them. By the end of the afternoon the promotors were knocking on the door dropping off cases of hard seltzer, kombucha and nitro coffee. Apparently people bought tix but didn't show due to weather so all of it was already paid for and just had to get tossed. Looks like she scored 170-175 cans of seltzer/kombucha and another 40 or so of the coffee. This shit's all over my house like tribbles from star trek. Guess we'll be drinking on her for a bit and i'll be keeping my mouth shut next time🤣

AustinBike
The best part about kombucha is that if you can get past the horrific taste, it still rots your teeth.
TheX
I love Kombucha, especially ginger. But yeah, moderation is key.

AustinBike
You can also use gin for a mixer because it is lower alcohol in most cases 😉

AntonioGG
Few Sprits Rye from Evanston. I really like it. Sláinte!
ATXZJ
Very, very similar to Boulevard's rye on rye. If you liked that one, go pick these up while you can. Found mine at total wine brodie.
jcarneytx
Rye Wine Ale, ala "barleywine" ale, aka, high abv ale, but with rye? 'Cause if it is, I'm gonna need find some of that. on a side note, a friend distills and gave me a jar of white rye, 120proof. Currently "aging" half on American oak chips and half on French oak chips. Did this last fall with American oak, and it was one of the best "whiskeys" I've ever enjoyed. VERY smoot and tasty. We'll see how these two turn out in 3 months. I really like rye beverages.

It's as close to to non-maple version of rye on rye as I can remember. Basically a less hoppy, barleywine with boozy undertones. One of my keepers for sure. $6.99 for a 375 at total wine. Specs shows none in stock. Edited March 21, 2021 by ATXZJ
ATXZJ
Now to the other side of the coin. Pulled the trigger and paid $15 for this bottle and wasn't very impressed. Thinking it would be like the old brandy beer from pre-budwieser karbach but wasn't close. Kinda flat flavor profile with a muddled finish. Some may like this one. I did not. AustinBike
Took a couple packs of 512 IPAs with us to Rockport this week. The juicy was $12 for a 4-pack the Mosaic was $10 for a 6-pack. My wife assumed that the 4-pack were double IPAs. Nope. Both were good, but $3/bottle is a bit much for my taste.

They've had that SMaSH on sale at my local HEB for $8 or $9 a 6-pack. Pretty good at that price, but I kept getting like a metallic copper hint. Not too off putting or anything, but wondering if it was just me.
AustinBike
I tasted it and it had a taste of IPA with a hint of drunkenness. Your mileage may vary.
