Sluggo
Posting for a friend Cannondale Scalpel and Pivot Mach 5.5 stolen from the Domain area last night. I think the Pivot is 2019 model and the Scalpel is a couple years old. Thanks for keeping an eye out.
mack_turtle
Of the last few stolen bike alerts I have seen here, several have been from the Domain area. Seems like a trend. Keep you shit locked down hard around there!

I noticed that as well. People need to seriously lock that stuff up.
Anita Handle
The repeated Domain references make me wonder if people are shopping or if this was from a residence. I know two instances were people who were shopping or eating, visitors with bikes on their vehicle. TheX
I would think from vehicles, but I have nothing to back that up.

James Clayton? I just found this, it looks like he died in 2012 after serving a little time. https://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2012-01-06/bicycle-thief-deceased/

mack_turtle
Serious question: in what manner were the bikes locked to the car, if at all? Just curious to see if theives are stealing "convenient" targets of if they are going to the trouble of cutting locks. WayneBT
Wow those are some nice bikes to 🙁. Hope they jail the s.o.b.'s. I had a guy come into my store saying his buddy found his bike at a homeless camp downtown and I went outside thinking it was some random huffy but it turned out to be a 2012 stump jumper.

JRA
It's pretty easy to spot the stolen bikes for sale on cl, offer up and face book. Pics taken in the woods with a trash pile or grocery cart in the back ground or way off pricing too high or low. https://offerup.com/item/detail/726052505/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/725926059/ Here's another good one, stolen wheels https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/400311910605967/ and the bike they came off of, I messaged her a couple days ago about her wheels for sale on face book. https://offerup.com/item/detail/722872029/ Edited August 7, 2019 by JRA
