Can also say the 2.5s seem to handle a little better than 2.6 at the limit. The extra volume is nice though. My vote for reserve or zipp I started with 2.4 in front and back. Been happier with the handling each time I got up a size. Currently at 2.5 rear and 2.6 in the front. I wont win any races with that setup, but it feels real smooth on trails around here.

The 27.5x2.6 DHF measured around 28.25" mounted on a 35mm internal rim. IMHO, 35mm is a little too wide for the trails around here.
Barry
My SC Reserve 37 IW rim matches my 2.6 Rekons perfectly (it measures exactly 2.6 on the fat rim). For me the 2.6 Rekon is a great high volume but fast rolling and light tire. I ran 2.4/2.5 Minions for years in the north-east. I went higher volume (2.6 instead of 2.4 or 2.5) for around here because of all the loose dirt and loose rocks. This is for 27.5, but if I pick up a 29er SS, I'll probably still run 2.6 Rekons on 35ish rims.
