Wilco Regional park trail closure

For anyone familiar with any of the trails  at the regional park, you are probably familiar with loop trail towards the back of the park my Mayfield, called "armadillo". This is the loop that is lined with rocks. Report today that the  county has it posted and building fencing around it, stating that is a preserve area for.....you guessed it, our favorite little bird....gimme a fucking break.

Anyway, I post up when I get more confirmed info, but this is from someone that lives and rides in the direct neighborhood.

I wanna act suprised but I'm not. They hated those trails in there ever since I've know them. I guess in a way I'm suprised it took them this long

Why won't Wilco jump on the cedar Park/round Rock bandwagon. The trails are definitely getting overused currently but am willing to bet pedestrian traffic is doing the most damage😓

I'm a trail runner and was there a few days ago. Yep, it's totally closed. So dumb. I turned to hit the trail then suddenly "What the-"

There are times when public organizations need reminding that they are supposed to work for the taxpayer who funds them - this sounds like one of those times.
