TheX
600mm lens on full frame mirrorless. The moon was just rising so it was in the orange haze and full on city light pollution. Not bad for a first run. Can't wait to take it and the telescopes out to Enchanted Rock.

Not a typo, the widest aperture I've used. Serious DOF. I remember shooting with something that goes up to f/2.8 and then getting my hands on a f/1.8 and thinking "oh man, this is the best thing ever!" I feel like i've missed a lot since the last two cameras I owned were a Nikon FM2 (lots of Illford HP5 and darkroom time with that) and a D100. I'm not all that interested in a camera that does everything for me, but a camera that allows me the freedom to do what I want it to do. a f3.5 is a big letdown even if it has a ton of computerized gizmos. I have the Sony 24mm F/1.4 and it was still $1,300.00. The saving grace is that with proper care, it's a lifetime purchase.

TheX
Luckily, the Sony e-mount should last, unlike their a-mount. I have a mid size, and full size body. The a6400 is APS-c, and the A7Rii is full frame 42.4 MP
TheX
DJI has a fantastic new'ish gimbal for medium size cameras. The Ronin SC. This thing is amazing, and does so much. I use the Sony kit lens with an a6400 to keep it light and easy to balance. Edited March 31, 2021 by TheX
TheX
Gotta have the aerial footage, and this thing makes it easy.
mack_turtle
Drones are going to be the future of SO MANY industries. The state agency where I work needs drone pilots to fly scientific instruments into hazardous places. Edit: the future of rad bike videos is also in drones. If I could get one to follow me around the woods to film me, all of you would be SO TIRED of my boring videos within a week. TheX
Marshall and Les Paul, how can you go wrong?
TheX
This is the cool thing about awesome bokeh. Same pic, DOF makes it very clear what the subject is. Cell phones have amazing cameras, but sometimes real glass is needed. This was taken with a Mitakon 35mm f/0.95.
