B-lines, B-lines everywhere!

That's the problem when trails are too dense and you pass within sight of the same trail you'll be in two minutes later.  People love to short cut for some reason.

I think Walnut gets B-lines from hikers more than bikes.  Actually, they start with hikers and then bikes start using them.  The hikers are generally trying to get to the water (dog) or get away from the other hikers/bikers.  Either way, once they start getting ridden, they're super hard to get rid of.

Some days I pass people with dogs, only to see them on the next section of trail with no idea how they got there so quickly. Easy to see those shortcuts at a walking pace I guess.

Ditto!!!!! Happened just the other day and I'm thinking "damn ... how many times am I going to have to say thanks, appreciate you letting me by".
