lucky bastard. Seen some PIL and that was as close as I got.

"I am an antichrist
I am an anarchist
Don't know what I want
But I know how to get it
I wanna destroy passer by"

First verse of that song was a declartion, like a bomb going off when i heard it as a kid. Music was never the same for me after that.

I saw Al Di Meola and Jean-Luc Ponty at the original Austin Opera House. I think Terry Bozzio? was the drummer for Al.

Keeping with the spanish theme, this is one of our favorite local bands. Grupo puts on a hell of show, and your ears will be ringing from the wall of sound they bring!

One of the most soulful guitarists I've ever had the pleasure to see play live. Sadly, hung himself in a jail cell (at least that's the official story) after being arrested for public intoxication. I do believe he was a disturbed soul as you can feel his pain coming out of his music.

I saw him at Liberty Lunch many, many years ago and was amazed by the performance.

Another local pair of brothers that consistently amaze with their guitar work, Del Castillo.

Some may remember hearing them in one of the Kill Bill movies. Here they are performing with Robert Rodriguez.

Now for some thing a little more juvenile. Makes me snicker every time I hear it. This is definitely ear buds required especially if there are little ones around.

They're so awesome!  I saw them only once at ACL Fest, probably close to 15 years ago.  I love how they altered the lyrics (not a straight translation of the original.)
