Does anyone have any experience with folding bikes to take on trips just to tool around a city? Does the bag end up being some weird oversized checked bag on the airlines? Which are the best ones?

about to start research but curious if anyone here knows about these things or has experience with them. I’d love to have a bike that I can have just for the occasion where I am flying to a metro area as long as they aren’t totally cost prohibitive or the reality of them blows vs the idea

Now you tell me.

I rode the Nut instead.....I felt like I was cheating on Brushy

Well, you missed the Peddlers Gang Bang. Have never seen the trail that busy.

And Ronan is a liar. Told me he was only digging for another ten minutes when I stopped to talk to him. Was going to lend a hand, but on my next lap he was still digging.

(He probably figured it would take longer to fix what I mess up!!!) 😂

I had a road bike frame made with S&S couplers. It fit in a suitcase I could check like regular luggage.

Well, I'm sure there was a gang bang going on out at the Nut too, but that's probably different.

And...didn't your mother tell you to never trust a trail builder?

Went out at 9:30 tonight and only one other pair of riders out! Dirt was tits and temperature perfect! My fellow rider tonight was a friend who has never biked on a real trail and he was on a 1998 entry level Bike he bought for a $100 bucks 6 years ago at a garage sale and he rode like a champ!  We stuck to picnic and PP but I was still impressed being night time and all. The best part is I think he might catch the fever!!

I'll be out there doing last minute touch-ups on Peddlers Pass this afternoon and evening. Any help would be awesome. I should get there around 2:00pm. I'll be starting on the Eastside then working my way West.

I'm done fishing for the day, I'll head that way this afternoon

Handful of people out there dialing it in on PP. I just got back from testing the gravel grinder with 2.1s. Fast as shit on the east side, beat to hell on the west side. Overall a wash on total time with trail bike. Sticking to trail bike.

I thought that I might be faster on my hardtail but after trying it I was actually a minute slower then on my full squish.
