TheX
Holy crap, doing my research on plastics, and how we misuse them. We (the planet) buy a million plastic bottles EVERY SINGLE MINUTE! WTactualF? Plastic recycling is a myth for the most part.

Chongo Loco
Late 70’s a gas well blew near my parents in S La. Had a horizontal flame over a football field long that we drove by on the bus to school for over 6 mos. You could feel the heat as the bus drove by from the flame close to 1/3 mi across the field from the highway. Couldn’t cap it so they kept it burning while they drilled 2 adjacent wells to eventually choke it off. They were tapping into the Tuscaloosa sands that are 2+ mi deep in that area and have crazy high pressure gas deposits. Shit you never forget seeing as a kid. You could see the glow from the fire low on the horizon and feel the windows vibrate at our house 8-10 mi away.
