mack_turtle
Every time I see this topic come up, the closest place anyone can find is in San Antonio called C6. maybe there's something new that I missed.
ssorgs
There is (or at least was) another local carbon repair guy: Krys Brown (Cracked Carbon Repair) 949.310.2011. Did a great job with my bike 2 summers ago.

I know of about half dozen people who have used C6 with good results. As far as paint/prep...don't bother, its going to cost you more than you really want to spend. -CJB

Just curious.
CBaron
Is this for your road bike???

No, Druber is going to sell me his Yeti SB5C frame/shock. I've been using it for a couple months (so like, 5 rides 🙂 ) and it has a bottom bracket issue that I'd like to get fixed up. As you can imagine, he isn't easy on his equipment. I still need to sell my Waltworks frame. I'm kind of shocked it hasn't sold. I emailed the carbon guy and he responded quickly. Waiting to hear back on a quote.
sherpaxc
Got a quote for between $360 to $420. Not sure how that compares to anything else. Just wanted to post up for reference for anyone that might search later on. Turn around time of a couple weeks (due to Thanksgiving).
ssorgs
Dennis (C6) is a fair amount higher than Krys (CCR). If Krys is still in town and doing this, I'd hit him up. He works with carbon professionally and this is a side gig. He actually fixed the downtube repair Dennis had done the year before that was failing and out of warranty. He charged me $200 while Dennis was quoting well over $300.
sherpaxc
Thanks for the info. I'll contact him today and post up when I hear back.

ssorgs
Bummer! Dennis does do pick up / delivery to ATX. I did a pick up at House Park last.
circuitbreaker
Just got a bike back from Dennis at C6 on Friday. Work looks great. Only thing a little weird was having to chat through Facebook messenger. https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Sports---Recreation/C6-Carbon-Fiber-Repair-1346098635464329/ seems like most people discourage against paint, so we can monitor the area. Kyle
I DIY'd my top tube recently. It was surprisingly easy. I imagine a bottom bracket would be a little more difficult.
