spicewookie
This is happening the last day of our ski trip in Angel Fire in 2 weeks. If you're registered for the race, you get a pre-ride after the lifts close on Friday and then the race is Saturday afternoon, after the lifts close. I'm debating on carrying my bike up there for 2 runs or trying to bum one off of the couple of locals I know up there (hint.....hint, Paul and Clay). Ridenfool
I'm scratching my head wondering how they filmed it. If that were a drone you would hear it as clearly as the bike noises. It if was a human, they were hauling ass too. I'm going with trail dog with camera mount and a background in cinematography.
Tree Magnet
I think it had to be a drone and they just put mics on the bike and removed the drone sound via software.Impressive power and technique climbing like that. If I was able to climb like that I’d make it almost to the top and then dab on some stupid loose rock on the flat trail part!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TheX
Damn, that climb was epic. Great camera work as well.
jcarneytx
Guy said they had a gopro on a gimble at end of a pole, then he ran with it following the guy up the hill. You can see his shadow a couple times. Only drone use was at beginning, rest was handheld.
Teamsloan
That only looks like a quarter notch harder than some of the stuff out at WC. None of that rock is loose, and the rock that is there is granite, sandstone, or covered in skateboard grip-tape. We could all make that climb that fast, we just choose not too. 1
AustinBike
A day at Lakeway probably gives you more technical climbing, this is sustained climbing, which is impressive. We did 1400' yesterday on the GB. Constant short ups are a lot harder than a long sustained climb.

taco_junkie
Wow 💪 not sure if I'm more impressed with the rider or the camera man who I could hear huffing air at the end. I'd have passed out well before the top.

RidingAgain
Clipped in or flats? That was some great camera work. I wonder how many takes it took.

Teamsloan
That looks like as close to a mountain bike roller coaster as you can get. I think I’d get lost and crash hard riding that place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tree Magnet
That dude is unreal. I kept waiting for the idiot disclaimer "Don't do this at home". I want to see him on a tandem with Chris Akrig or something.
