AntonioGG
I'm looking to build a cheap bike for one of our techs at work. He's an old school BMXer and eventually wants a MTB, but for now a hybrid or old MTB would suffice to get in shape. At this point he can't afford a bike but at some point he will be able to. I have pretty much everything needed to build up a MTB except for a frame and cranks which I'll donate to the cause. If anyone has a cheap L (56cm) 135mm QR frame they're selling or giving away, please contact me. If it's a tapered steerer I have a fork, but if it's a straight steerer then I'll need a fork (rigid is OK).

No frame but I have a Kona Project 2 rigid fork if you find yourself with a straight fork frame.
mack_turtle
Gore ball cap. Small-medium size. Probably good for cold weather. Like most hats, doesn't fit the non-round shape of my head.

Yellow Bike Project may be your friend. 1216 Webberville Road, Austin, TX 78721 austinyellowbike.org/ 512-524-5299 austinyellowbike@gmail.com I just called; they do have frames. Call first to see if you need to make an appointment to shop. No idea on prices. Perhaps they could check inventory for size and type of frame. AustinBike
Anyone got a dog with a sensitive stomach? We had to switch his food after a few years of being on this, it is 3/4 full.
AustinBike
Food gone. Found out you can donate it at Hollywood Feed and they give it to people suffering tough times so that their dogs get to stay fed.

mack_turtle
a neighbor gave me these two bikes. hopefully i saved them from a landfill or scrapper. they're not great, but if you have some spare parts, they could make a good beater or a bike for someone in need. I'll drop them off at Yellow Bike if they don't get much interest otherwise. Centurion road bike, 50cm "small" frame. come with everything (not in photo) EXCEPT bar tape, chain, cables, and needs a new 68/113mm square taper bottom bracket. brake levers and 105 2x7 groupset are in a box and need a thorough cleaning. Freewheel is rusty but works. hubs could stand to be repacked with grease. Iron Horse hybrid, 17" medium. the wheels were DOA so I threw them out. needs wheels/tires, chain, cables, saddle maybe new brake pads, a handlebar and grips. the brake levers and shifters appear to be functional but need a thorough cleaning as well. the BB is the adjustable type and should probably be yanked out and tossed, but one of the few tools I don't have is a fixed-cup wrench. My only stipulation is that these are not bikes to flip, as they were given to me for free.

I'm hoping to find a 27.2 stack post of some kind. I figured these things would be plentiful, but I'm also happy to pay $$ if its needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Honestly, I'd take any amount. He's currently got zero so anything will help. I'd guess 12-15mm would be ideal. I can just see that he's 'sitting on top of his BB' when pedaling. Especially now that he's got taller (and his legs are so much longer).
