Scorpions out during the day time?  I'd never seen them in the day.  One time after working under my car in the garage late at night, I came back in the house without realizing I had one on my shoulder.

seems like every other rock I turn over I was finding them.

when we were at RPR with JKW, we were looking for rocks to stack up on a feature and Jeremiah says "watch out there could be scorpions under those rocks", I said "yeah right really unlikely" right then Jeremiah flips over a rock and there were 5 right there! that's when that picture I posted was taken after I picked one up by the tail/stinger.

there were a bunch at bandora under rocks and I saw two at cat Mtn this week, also under rocks

OK that explains it.  They weren't out and about, they were under the rocks.

All I've been seeing is Squirrels and Lizards!

I'm sure the snakes have been seeing you though.

Confirmation as of 4:37 pm.  It's not the heat, IT IS THE HUMIDITY.

The section where you come out of Tangle of Trails and head over to Church Hill is completely overgrown with PI at WC.  Solid.

Also, there is an infestation of squirrels; they're everywhere.  The internet offered this helpful information.

Quote

From a distance, it can be difficult to tell [male and female squirrels] apart, but close observation of physical characteristics and behaviors -- especially those associated with reproduction -- can reveal a squirrel's sex.
