  1. Up here around Fort Hood, Cedar Park is definitely known for its bike trails. I heard Copperas Cove was working on putting in a bike trail, and I know Harker Heights has a popular network, but a lot of guys up here have Cedar Park as a top destination for hitting the trails. Which then brings us to the local bike shops and restaurants.

  2. Ok, I'm old school. I ride a hard tail bike set up pretty similar to what I've known since I was a child. I don't get out on it every weekend, but when I do get out - I do well enough that it's not worth buying one of these newer full suspension rigs that seem pretty popular. I have been going back and forth between converting my tires to tubeless though. I keep hearing that going tubeless is so much better. Why? My current setup is tubes with inner liners and goop in the tubes, and I keep them around 25-30 PSI depending on the trail. Other than not needing to carry a spare inner tube, how does tubeless make things better?

Just so there's no confusion with tone over the internet here, honest question. No sarcasm intended if it comes across that way.

  3. I decided to get back on the bike after a couple year break by going to Spider Mountain today. What a blast! Even if you're not a hardcore weekend rider, there's still plenty of room to grow. I've never downhill ridden before (at least not without having to pedal uphill at some point), so this was the fastest I've been on a trail so far. It was an absolute blast [emoji16]

I was a little worried about my entry level bike holding up, but it seems like the new pedals and tires I got last week did the trick. Gloves helped too. I'm not normally a gloves guy, but they were certainly useful on that trail. 001095f58415641c57931c3e7c63b987.jpg
