I have a GXP BB listed in the Pay it Forward thread. You are welcome to it if you want to give it a try. I was just about to take it over to Yellow Bike because I can’t seem to give the damn thing away. It came in a box of parts, but all my cranks are Shimano.

Need a tensioner to convert your bike to SS?  God peed this one right out.

I was at the South Lamar location yesterday. They told me the Anderson location is now completely closed for good.

I was there today. They added that they do not know how long they will remain open, either. Many things are rather picked over, although they still had tons of helmets left. There were some good deals to be had.

I have been trying an Ultimate Direction Gemini waist pack I bought off CL. It holds two bottles plus has medium-large compartment for your stuff. I have had only a few rides with it, and I liked it more often than I didn’t. You are welcome to try it.

It’s been a while since I’ve built up a bike. What is everyone’s current favorite headset for the non-Chris King crowd? Are the basic Cane Creek headsets still good?

 

Also, does anyone have a regular headset bumping around the parts bin they’d be willing to let go of? 1-1/8”, straight

Yeah, there’s no parking there now.

You may be able to park at the back of the Super 8 on 183 & 51st. I believe that’s where people park for park cleanup days. Or there’s an elementary school on Rogge near Springdale that may work if it’s a weekend.

SAVE THE DATE! The 3rd public meeting for our master plan will be Thursday, September 27, 6:00-8:00 pm at TEA's Educational Service Center Region 13 (5701 Springdale Rd, Austin, TX 78723, in the State Capitol Room.

 

This is (I believe) the final public meeting for input on the master plan for this park. This tract of land has great elevation, and it would be a good spot to build mountain bike trails on the east side. Im not affiliated with the planning, but I think it would be a great addition to the trails in our city.
