I think I'll respond, Karen .
I'll also call you out every time you make some dogshit strawman argument.
All you
My post was sarcastic because anything you post is completely ignorant.
How embarrassing for you:

You also post no evidence of what europe has done better than what we have done vs other.
Please provide evidence. I’ll wait.

When did America get a prime minister?
If we're gonna bring European countries into this discussion, it's just going to make the US and it's handling this pandemic look even worse.
Is that possible?
Yet another post that shows you have no idea what is going on. I’m sorry that you are incapable of forming a single valid argument.
Don’t bother responding.

They have better health care. You know, the kind they keep telling us we cant have.
The prime minister contracted it.

People wearing a mask and no helmet while riding bikes head on at each other 20mph head on in high traffic areas.
This is the dumbest thing I am seeing right now.

You might consider your Strava user name when commenting. Is it your nerd name, or ‘The Tip’, or perhaps something like SATN?
Seriously though. Put trail steward of SATN in your Bio.
Comment:
Please don’t ride muddy trails.
Thanks,
Management

Two weeks ago I took a drive with the wife up north and saw this trail... I think it's connected to the Santa Rita housing development, but what made it interesting was that it's on the side of somewhat steep hill, and its switchback layout. I'd say it's about a two to three story elevation drop. Just interesting to see that the developers cut it... If it does belong to the development.
That was developed by a local pro trail builders. They posted on Voodoo and maybe here.
You can follow them on Instagram @komtrails

1 mile per 10 acres as mentioned. Backing out average for infrastructure and parking lot. And access roads. Access roads are very important for trail repair as well as getting Health care and course Marshalls for races.
What is the max elevation of the land top to bottom. You can do a lot with a little. The level of foliage and trees can affect how much trail you can fit in per acre. log loop is an excellent trail, that takes up a limited amount of acreage. Some property owners cram in a lot with a twisted design and it ends up with 5 miles of “point six” which gets old.

The Rapha Gone Racing is a pretty cool series to watch. They follow the World tour guys doing the alternative racing calendar and racing everything from Leadville to DK to some crazy race across Europe.
Leadville-
And I’m not even a Leadville race fan.

He can start saving the economy by stuffing some steel in his mouth on public television. When, not if this gets into the capitol he's gonna be first in line for testing and treatment. F%CK HIM!!!!!
Did you actually watch the interview to point where he says this?

Zwifting is the mountain biking equivalent of eating store-made guac.
(Full disclosure: I don't each guac or Zwift. I just like to be a sarcastic a-hole sometimes.)
This just means when it’s cold dark and rainy, you get slower, and the dark side gets faster and enjoys chips and Guacamole after their Zwift Hammer fest.

??? somewhat incoherent reply but...whatever. I realized my mistake . You believe whatever you want.
I can’t see any truth in your entire post due to the glaring mistake.
When you make a mistake this badly in an argument, it basically erases any valid points made throughout the argument.
Your entire post is a rambling of disconnected internet facts that you have accumulated. Although some of them ARE correct, you failed to get any points across.
My mistake was allowing iPhone to autocorrect my post in Tapatalk. Try=truth

Bloomberg spent $500 million on a campaign that went nowhere, that's enough money to give each American 1.6 million dollars each. My hope for a good outcome from this virus is that it might help level the playing field a little bit. Viruses don't negotiate or care about money or for that matter toilet paper.
Thats 1 dollar and 52 cents each.
Now I can’t see any try this in your entire post due to this glaring mistake.
You basically regurgitated everything you have ever heard anywhere.

For those of you Zwifting, do you have a dedicated tablet, computer, or do you use your phone? Do you have a monitor you can broadcast from your phone (e.g. airplay)? For trainerroad I use my laptop sometimes but other times the phone seems so much easier. It seems like I could use a monitor I can just broadcast to from my phone for something like Zwift.
Hammer H2,
Apple TV 4K
Kicker headwind fan - just got this and worth every penny.
Zwift on a phone is aweful.

I've about worn out my Gx 11 Speed cassette on my trail bike. I'm currently debating just buying a new cassette for around $122 or getting the E13 12 speed upgrade kit for $199. The reviews online are mixed and I've seen some reviews stating this kit and I-9 torch hubs (which is what I run) don't mix. Any thoughts appreciated.
I ran the kit. Don’t do the conversion. Spacing the cage is not a good solution and the chain can jump a jockey and destroy things.
Also, my shifter failed internally during a 50 mile race. It made for a longer day than necessary.
I bought eagle GX derraileur and shifter and it works great! I love the cassette and run it on Torch and hydra hubs.
You must seat the aluminum cog completely and tighten above the torque specs or else it will get off. Clean and grease the interface every time you take it in an off. Can’t beat the range, weight, and gear ratios!

Our trails really lack the “rules of the trail” that so many trail systems have. The rules of Walnut Creek are even not at the MTB “trailhead.”
I believe that a large Kiosk with
1. If you can’t ride it walk it. DO NOT CUT BYPASS TRAILS
2. Motos have ride of way
.
.
5. To participate in authorized trail building, contact ARR
How would someone know not to cut a trail? Many riders think they are doing a service by stacking rocks and making a B line. They have no idea the history of a trail or how it got there.
There is one member of this forum that felt he could/should build a B line on every trail “per IMBA spec”. That’s an extreme example of someone... who should move to Houston.

Every year there is a fresh incoming class at UT that includes MTB riders. Maybe members of the choir can put word out to anyone encountered out on Austin area trails that are not members of the choir of the do's and don'ts. Education is a never ending process.
Thanks in advance for your assistance in getting the word out.

I disagree with this statement.
I’ve never ever ever encountered a UT student who rides on the trails.
B lines and cedar trees are constantly being cut everywhere by untalented riders with wide bars.
It’s not “the millennials” and Incoming students. It’s people who don’t know what they don’t know.
Everyone here knows, so all you are doing is ranting.
I’ll keep blocking B lines and moving rocks back to where they belong. Not as cheater steps for ledges.

It appears to have just been done, possibly in preparation for the Enchilada Buffet this weekend.
DO NOT CUT NEW TRAIL AT EMMA LONG (aka City Park)!!!
The City (PARD) and BCP watch Emma Long like a hawk. There are currently plans in the making by the City to GPS the trail at Emma specifically to track (unauthorized) changes.
DO NOT CUT NEW TRAIL AT CITY PARK.

I don’t think anyone involved in the EB prepares new trail, or B lines either.
You are preaching to the choir.

Not when you didn’t ride since 2016 WHEN THE TRAILS WERE DIFFERENT.
How would I know whose route to use?
Because no one responded, I went and looked at the flybys of 2016 I see the many different routes that people took. I used the the winners route because I figure that is safe.
The confusion is not clear when deciding
With or without:
dog head
Up White bitch climb (I don’t think this is in the route but your flybys did it)
Endo valley.
I don’t know why it’s so difficult to get a simple accurate route every year. Thank goodness Thad was nice enough to post on FB and not be difficult.
It looks as if the start goes down the bike path up and over the damn from log loop now.

That and a proper bar angle help a lot. Ervin grips help solve the bad habits of grip angle that people have which causes the numbness.
Certain trails and speeds are worse than others for causing numbness. Make a conscious effort to ride with a very light grip on the bars.

According to my 2017 Flyby only 5 people did Endo that day...two of which were CBaron and me. We decided later that it was extra credit. I don't plan to do it this year.
And by my estimation, doing Root Drop (black line) instead of the Standard Loop (blue line) shortens the ride by about 0.7 miles. Again, according to my Flyby, only 4 folks went through Root Drop that day.
And yeah, it's looking pretty raintastic today. But good for the weekend! Albeit a little warmer than I'd hoped.
Would you mind screen shorting the entire walnut loop for me?
I know TAF and I go through this every single year. But I am an IOS phone user and getting the route in this format serves me no good.

This was just a trap for you to try to bring up ONE country of Europe to prove how “Europe” has done it better than the US. I figured you would have picked one of the more obscure less populated countries.
Last time I checked, UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy are all part of Europe.
I grabbed the prime minister for fun because he is a politician from a country with universal healthcare. No one is immune due to social status or their healthcare system.
Did you know that in Germany you can’t just restore a car in your garage? The regulators come to your house and review your build? Clearly they accept a level of regulation which would not pass in the US.
See you in 3 months. I’m going to go ride my bike.
