is it just me, or are the trails MUCH wider in some spots? some of the singletrack is turning into a highway.
And the sanitation continues as well... -
After every ride I just assume that I brushed up against some and do the Dawn wash down.
Yup - shower with dawn dish soap after every ride.
And yes, PI is out in full force. Some of it has me wondering if it’s mutated from ivy to tree it’s so damn tall. -
I find it annoying sometimes and sometimes I’m guilty of it. I guess some of it depends on the conversation, if I’m feeling social, how hard I’m riding. There will ALWAYS be someone who can carry a conversation while you’re struggling to just breathe and not wreck.
I remember a ride where two older gents were discussing retirement communities, the costs, amenities, etc, phase II vs phase III etc. my first thought was, what is this "Cocoon - Part 3"? Maybe it was jealousy since I have a 25 years before retirement.- 1

Seriously, thanks for doing this. Skills park would be awesome and as a dog owner it would be great to have a dog park southwest. BTW, I think the dog park proposal in circle c got shutdown because of ADA requirements and associated cost.
A little unsolicited advice - frame arguments as the value it will bring instead the lack of something. Providing comparative examples from other progressive cities, both domestic and abroad, could help as well. “Portland has X number of dog parks per capita and three different certifications for organic food. To keep up with the Jones, Austin would need Y number."- 1

If they tell you SW Austin can’t have a dog park because there would not be enough impervious ground, they’re full of it. Just a friendly FYI...

what's the best...
yeah, I went there. it seems like everything I try dries up in a few days: Stan's, homebrew, Trucker... have not tried Orange Seal yet. they all seal the tire, but when I get a puncture, it does nothing because there's not enough liquid left. are my Schwalbe tires the problem?
I had a similar issue with WTBs where the thinning agent from the home brew would seep from the sidewalls, which lead to poor sealing performance and massive latex boogers. IRCC Scwalbes do that too. Mine juice would last 6 to 8 weeks though. I haven’t had any issue with Maxxis tires. No boogers either. I put in 5/8 cup of original WSS (the recipient hat uses ATV slime) 2x per year.

We must atone for their sins and offer up more berms to the trail gods. We must build more berms.. build more berms!
In all seriousness, I’ve traded polite for blunt with these people. “The trail is muddy and YOU will cause serious damage if you ride it... turn around so you’re not that guy.” Sometimes it works and sometimes I get cussed out. However, I make sure it’s their assholeness and not their stupidity that allows them to move forward.
