  1. Nope rope yesterday. Took awhile to chase off the trail. Hognose. Boy did he make a lot of noise and object to being pushed out of the way.

I like hognose snakes, been a year or two since I have seen one. Seems like most of the snakes I see are coral snakes lately.

  2. Been using smith helmets for a while now and have no complaints or issues with them. I have only replaced them with newer ones every couple of years. I tried a few tld helmets but found the quality to be lacking although the fit and feel felt good. So for now I will continue to stick with smith helmets and be content.

  3. Can't fault tacoma's, I have three and all have been super reliable (70k-320k miles) with no issues just regular maintenance. They are a little boring and I keep looking to replace 1-2 of them but can never find anything else I like.

  4. I've used several and like most that I have tried.

DMR vaults are good and take a beating, no issues but a little heavier.

Diety black Kats are probably my favorite and have been running a set for 3-4 years now with no issues. Take a beating, and really grip the shoes well.

One up components are on one of my bikes but may be a little on the need more maintenance side as I have had to replace the bearings on them about once every 1-1.5 years. They are light and grippy though.

Chromag contacts like how they look and are quite durable, a little heavy.

Chromag dagga are grippy and heavy and the pins really like to tear you up if they slip.

Yoshimura pedals did not really like them, just felt a bit off and my feet kept slipping with them. Ended up giving them to my son to try them out and I believe he moved on from them.

  5. I think you need to ride a little faster!
"Although mosquitoes seem fast when you are trying to swat them, they are actually slow flyers. The average flight speed of a mosquito is 1 to 1.5 miles per hour, which is slower than butterflies, bees, and virtually every other flying insect."

This is true, only noticed them when I was stopped and then they swarmed to me.

  6. Just a few years ago, I didn't either... but lately, on the downhill-trajectory toward 50, it's starting to make lots more sense...

In my mid 50's and it makes no sense to me, I enjoy the challenge of a good and hard ride and do not want an ebike to simplify it.

  7. I'm going out there in the morning tomorrow, and have ridden it in the rain, or after it has rained more so than riding it dry. Never had any issues other than getting a bit muddy, and a few spots of collected water. I also don't see that many people out there when I go ride, maybe one or two people on motos.

  8. No interest in one for myself, I really enjoy climbing, and techy climbs at that. I feel that using an ebike would take away the feeling of accomplishment in overcoming those techy climbs.

  9. I lost the title to one of our cars. I can't be trusted with a vax tag

I have all the car titles for the girlfriend and myself as well, somewhere...
