Impressive, takes me three or four months to rack up that many miles.I get 900 to 1200 miles per pair. That used to be 6 to 7 weeks when I was riding the 5010 almost exclusively. Now that I split some time with ChamoisHagar I get a couple of months out of the 5010's Rekons.

I'm good either way, would prefer for it to get dark later but it will not ruin my day.

Did this the other day and I know better.90% of my crashes are due to going too slow over features I'm not familiar with. Speed will get the front wheel through things that can stop the bike otherwise.

Yeah that would suck.I'm perfectly happy not crashing. Last time I went off the bike I rolled down an embankment and got covered with poison ivy. I'm not doing that again.

Good on fish tacos.not terribly spicy, but Trader Joes has this creamy jalapeño sauce that is pretty good on tacos and stuff. worth a try. smooth with a kick.

I fully agree, way I see it is do you want to go cheap on something protecting your brain. Not me and I usually replace my helmets every two to three years just to put my mind at ease.Helmets are too important to be cheap about it.

I have my share of bad falls, crashes and it takes longer to heal as I get older (52) and I tell myself to slow down just a bit, but when I'm on the bike I almost always want to take on any challenge. So now I find myself riding with pads, and body armor on occasion when in the past I would maybe ride with knee pads.

if I was going to have a drink at least I would choose a decent beer, and yes I agree clean up after yourself it's not that difficult.

Happy Sunday, was a good day to ride not too hot or humid.

I've been going a little later in the day than usual (9-10am) for a few hours but probably will start getting out earlier beginning tomorrow.

My bike hauler (older 2003 Tacoma) is about half the price of my bikes so I get it.There is that. I have a buddy in utah who's still driving around in the rustbucket 1995 integra he had in HS, with $8k of bikes strapped to it[emoji1787]

Emma long is one of my favorite rides, just looking for something different. Also like BCGB but only get out that way a handful of times each year.SATN is not where I would go for tech. Nearby is BCGB. Or Emma Long. You can find good info on www.AustinBike.com.

If I coming from San Antonio where would be the best place to begin a ride. I prefer the techy and rocky bits more than the flowy stuff. Is there a preferred trail head to start from with parking close by.
Thanks in advance.

Got out to city park today and as always was a good time, some water in a few places but nothing bad.

I figured it was one directional since all of the sign are facing one direction, my bad.

Been over a week but it was fine and should be alright if we get some sunshine in the near future. The trail is pretty easy to follow and goes in one direction.

For cheap glasses I've been using Oakley's that I got off of eBay along with some off brand replacement lenses that were about $12 for a set of two.
