You're making shit up, G-outs never had their own names. Dave's Glitch was the name of each of the trails on the either side of Dave's Ditch. Dave's Glitch EAST is the whole trail between the ditch and Rim Job, Dave's Glitch WEST was the whole trail that was on the west side, the one that was closed. Combined they were AKA Campfire Loop.

And a fun fucking loop she was. Still miss that bitch

Yup. There's a drop at Christchurch that's about half the size of the big snail one. I'd imagine that's the one to conquer and session before attempting the big snail one.

have the built the run-in to that drop a church yet?

If I paid $60ish to have "Please do not ride WET TRAILS" for about 50 signs, would it be ok to put them out over the BCRT trail system and Suburban Ninja?

I  honestly think some people just have no idea it ruins the trail.   They think it is fun to slosh around in the mud.

i'll pitch in financially for sure on this. was just thinking this.

Is the latest, greatest PP really slightly shorter than it used to be. Timed my ride on it today just to gauge my injury recovery progress and I was around 2 min slower than my best time on the old Pedler's Pass 4.0. Still well under 20 min though, and I was on my long-travel 27.5 with tires inflated for sidewalk riding. Will give it another go this weekend on my short-travel 29er to see if I can get closer to 17 min.

It shows up as 2.54 miles on mine lately, i believe

Wait what? I need to know where this is. 😮

oh shit! that is Dale's stuff he was building. he is back from whistler so he is prolly working on it. Supposed to have a drop zone and tie into Suburban Ninja. did not know it had been done. that is the fire station in Ranch at Brushy Creek and the trails are built on the church's land with its blessing (pun intended). Maybe I go check it out today!

Do y'all find 1/4 notch easier to ride from W-E or E-W.  Previously, I had heard E-W but with this route I feel like I am climbing the hill slowly the whole ride.  From W-E, it seems like you would be mainly starting at the top of hill and working your way down, which sound "easier"  Thoughts?

I can tell you unequivocally, W-E is easier. i always felt that way, but was validated when I was helping with some trail stuff one saturday morning (putting the signs in  in the ground) with a few of the builders and others. I was jabbing with Rugger and I told him that  I preferred riding it W-E. He laughed at me and said "Yeah, cuz it's way easier that way". It is more downhill (= more fun), for sure. Plus I like climbing Spongebob, or trying to clean it, at least.

And now I see the ranch that is East of the dam is being developed.  Ugh.  Too many people along that corridor!

judge wilson sold his land to the WORST builder in the ATX, in my opinion. Their neighborhoods look like shit and have no yards. the fpoor plans are wonky as all get out. That blows for that field to be built out by Milestone.

Don't forget the big workday on Peddlers Pass. It's 9:00 am tomorrow. Meet at Brushy Creek Lake Park, 3300 Brushy Creek Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613. We need as many people as possible to help with the Big Dig of 2019. Come see what the machines have done so far and be part of creating a one of a kind trail in Texas.

    meet where?

So while I was out looking for a happy ending last night, I was noticing all the little "additions" to different areas of the trails since I was out there a decade ago. One new "feature" I noticed was on the the east side (creek side) of the bridge at the end of PicnicX. Looks like someone finally made a big G-out drop that crosses over the big bermed section and then straight back up the other side. I'm sure it's a total rush to drop and then G-out, but holy hand-job batman, that looks like and head on waiting to happen with anyone down in that section.

Damn it's nice to ride again

I am not sure that that is so much of  a drop-in as it is a way out. If you are riding E2W and coming FROM the picnicX drops, not towards, then when you come down into the ditch, you can pedal real hard and make it out of there without having to do the Gs and go up the root drop or b-line out

Go ride now, it's hero dirt.

I got rid of the "jump" after the rollers. The berms are now bigger with a larger radius, it's a lot faster. You can now carry all your speed through these berms. It flows so much better.

    Jump gone.jpg

its better now. rode it yesterday. the new part east of parmer is good too

Maybe not related, but close enough. Anyone doing trailwork next to redhorn? That chainsaw is kind of annoying, can you do it later? Saw a guy cutting close to ground at various spots. I believe this trail is called Suburban Ninja( great beer, btw).

dang man. do you live in the apartments right there or something? i know the trail work has been happening in the morning before work  but sometimes it has to get done whenever it can get done.

I usually ride them west to east.  I generally start my ride with Gumdrop, then do Snow White clockwise, then ride up to Gnargasm.  At the end of Gnargasm I take the upper connector trail to Snow White and ride that portion of it counter-clockwise, take the bridge across the creek at the exit, and take a left onto the singletrack immediately after the bridge that runs along the creek and exits across from the play area at Champion Park.  I then proceed over the dam and continue over to Peddler's Pass.

I haven't ridden Caddyshack in a while now, since I don't really like going down the sketchy rock to the wooden exit on Gnargasm.  And the exit onto the golf property where you can then go down by the bridge to reach the Caddyshack entrance seems like just asking for trouble if golfers complain about seeing mountain bikers.

There is a new line at gnargasm exit that drops you in the middle of the creek bed. it's pretty rowdy but should bring you very close to the caddyshack entrance.

I’m confused on how anyone could have a fun ride with peddlers in its current condition. The rollers are full of water and everything is just muddy which must create a nightmare of a bike clean up. Ronan has more patience than anyone I know to not stand out on the trail and swing at people with a shovel after all the hours he’s put in. I hope there isn’t too much repair that’s needed since his focus is grooming the new section.

I went and rode the main trail yesterday around 3 or so. Ran into Honey Badger and a couple of other riders fro the 'hood. Made my way over to the skate park and ran into a couple of other riders. One of them had a real muddy bike, so I ask him if he has been riding trail and he affirmed he had. I asked if they were ridable and he said well everything is "ridable". I asked where he rode and he said he was on Peddler's and he said he went and help burn in the new trail and was talking about how wet the rollers were. He. Had. No. Idea. Not a clue.

  17. I have been adding at LEAST part of double down to every single ride the last few weeks. either from bailout to bailout, or from bailout to jeep road, or some other combo, east or west. It is making me stronger on other trails I can tell.
