Going to be out this way for some sort of ceremony. Was looking to go on a nice flowy solo ride to help get my mind in the right place. I haven't been to either of these... Is one generally considered better?

I'm leaning flat Creek for now based on YouTube.

Rode the concrete trail this morning. Walked a couple sections... close but still needs another day to be rideable. Just in time for the next rain to pay availability out even further.

Appreciate it. All I was able to find after scouring the nets were pre-2014. Much better than the app maps.

Hell, does anyone even have a link to a current map? I've been trying to link trails into a suitable full ride without thinking about which trail to take at each split ...having a hell of a time.

I rode the path today and ended up checking out powerline flow, chardog, and log loops. All good to go. Was skeptical about log loop but whatever improvements were recently done took care of the areas that used to hold onto water forever. Great job [emoji106]

Mopac underpass at waters park should be plenty big. Call it an extension of Walnut Creek...

Anyone remember the name of an indoor skatepark in Austin 10-15 years ago? I recall visiting on in the summer of 03 but can't remember where it was.
I'd certainly session an indoor bike park when it's 104 out.
I still think that some rideable terrain under a highway overpass would be fun of it stays somewhat dry. I can think of a few spots...

I just did my first night ride ever and avg speed was the same as day rides. ~10mph. Seems I'm rate limited by my belly and not light. You mileage may vary. BTW, night riding is an absolute blast... Makes Walnut way more interesting.

My lights just came in. How sketch is wc at night? Not the trails but the... humans.

I used to night ride alone in college out in the middle of nowhere but we has me a bit more creeped out.

I rode the path Sunday night to gauge. Trail looked muddy so I didn't venture in but others were out with speakers and muddy tires.

I'm still getting used to the Walnut maze so unsure exactly where I was but didn't run into any mud. Stayed in the powerline area for the most part. A couple spots that likely weren't okay in the morning around the creek. I skipped the loops. I would think everything is good to go by tomorrow.

Making a mental note to figure out a decent linkage of trails before I attempt any night rides.

Was everything else good besides the loops? I'm about to head out. Can report back.

Sorry guys, I'm getting back into mountain biking and got a new bike. This month of rain is on me.
