29" tyres. rear tire is usually a 2.3 or larger on 30mm internal rim width with huck norris inserts. Im sure the inserts and thick sidewalls make a very big difference in how squishy the tire feels. I dint think I could get away with this with lesser sidewalls protection tires. About to try out these Nukeproof ARD inserts for better traction at these lower pressures. 18 can feel a bit like it will squirm at times. I know it isnt right for everyone cause it is a bit low and has more rolling resistance. But I like the feeling of the hookup in corners. There isnt anything to bash your Rim on while riding PP. I lean towards 25 if I'm doing enduro races and 20 for casual rides. But I try to ride like my zen master[mention=133]Morealice[/mention] taught me when learning the ropes. "Light on the bike brah"I also just learned a guy who I know is an amazing rider typically runs 11 psi at Jester! Crazy! What size tires and wheels? I go under 22 rear and it feels very squirmy at PP. In fact, the more traction there is the higher I have to go in pressure.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I set rear to 20 to 25 depending how hard I think I'm gonna bash and 18 if doing hot laps of PP. And my front stays around 15. I also have huck Norris insert in rear. And I ride with thicker sidewalls like DDs sometimes.I've been riding Brushy for the first time lately and I don't know for sure if my tire pressure is set correctly. I don't wanna have it too high an risk bursting it. What do yall run? (got 29" tubeless if that matters at all)

It's given name is Gumdrop. Back when we were going with a Candyland or boardgame theme. We had much more planned. But never done due to things and stuff. People on strava called it ankle bitter. For what reason I have no knowledge. So that trail is known widely as either those 2 names.Where is Ankle Biter? Don't see it on this map.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Park under 183 a. No gates. Or at Dodge Cattle either in cul de sac (sorry Green) or at the western trail head of Deception on Staked Plains . Or just park in the parking lot of 7-11 if you just wanna ride PP and worried about curfew on gatesAny idea what time the gates are shut now? No big deal there are places to park at night that dont require gates being involved.
I rode , I think, Saturday night , but nervous I'd get locked in

If a One Wheel can survive PP anything on 2 wheels canShould be good haha. I’ve taken my gravel bike out there, and with the exception of a couple spots, it faired pretty well.

Park under 183A and then just send it. Brakes are a weaknessI dont know how far Ill make it, and the fork is shot. Plus, the lack of brakes is kind of scary, lol

Not bi-directional . But this is merica land of the free. I've not once in my riding life had success in receiving positive response when I encountered someone doing the "wrong" thing on the trail and called out for it. Not once did said persons ever change their course of action. I've tried mean, nice, informative, and on their side.Is Peddler's considered bi-directional now? I was riding counter clockwise today, told a guy he was going the wrong way and he told me it's bi-directional. Didn't notice any of the "wrong way" signs anymore and I hadn't been over there in a couple months.

My guess would be the lower trails like Peddlers and Picnic might be too wet. But the highlands like Deception would be ok but slick rocks. Snail is usually good in the rain up to a certain amount.Anyone go out today? Trails okay? Got about 1/8 of an inch of rain in my gauge at my house in RR.

Are Irish Coffees considered drinking or classy? You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning[emoji23]

This is definitely not part of the riding trail. It is just an off shoot people take to the creek it's hard to tell the difference unless riding it the way it was designed is engraved in you from repetition.Wait. I don’t recognize this part of the trail. 1/4 mile in from East entrance. Is that right by the creek? The rocks kinda look like it. There might be multiple routes and maybe I normally ride a different way. Either way, sorry man, I tried looking out for it. I was looking forward to actually contributing, and it didn’t work out. Of course you would do it the less fun way. Such an XC DOUCHEMy typical route is climb up, then right after it levels out go left and up a little more, come down to turn around, right hand downhill trackstand turn, lower line back out.

Fair enough. I suppose some well placed rocks and logs are in order to help define the path desired.I think the upper return line is a little faint. I know I didn’t see it at first... and ended up dropping back to the concrete via those lines. I ended up seeing the correct return line from watching a YouTube video.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I wish people would not do that. I always do the Caddy loop.. or just by pass the dam it's on the map (warning it involves temporarily trespassing onto the dam spillway)Since we are already on a publicity campaign for Caddyshack and the like. What is the consensus on the lines people keep riding that drop straight to the BCRT? There is one right at the foot of the dam spillway and another 100 yards or so to the East. I have blocked them numerous times. I think someone may end up rolling into a walker or perhaps more importantly I think the less traffic up there the better. There are definitely some high penalty for error spots and it is NOT beginner friendly at all.

Solid ride! I wouldnt risk DD or Rim when even a little wet either. But I also dont ride ALL of Deception on my route. I pick parts and directions I travel on it based on how I feel. It can zap you.I was inclined to try to ride everything at brushy today thanks to you, but it started to get too wet by the time I was midway through 1/4 notch. I was able to finish 1/4, but based on all the slippage I didn’t feel good about hitting double down or rim loop. Still not sure I can do it all in one ride. Double down probably would have drained what I had left. [emoji846]

Same. But I also hate rolling across that spot in general seems damaging to that spot. I've tried blocking it in past but people gonna do what they want.Caddyshack or Gnargasm? Either one, yikes. I always make sure I avoid the huge puddle before Gnargasm and head just left to the small stream xing. I really hate going into it with wet tires!

Questions:
1) Where is ankle biter in this?
2) I don't recall seeing Chutes and Ladders. Is it MTB trail? Is "in da werks" mean y'all are making this trail?
3) I always was calling Snow White, Caddyshack, but this map looks like Caddy Shack is after gnargasm going towards the dam. How do I get on this trail?
Answers:
1. Ankle bitter basically is Gumdrop. Some people called it what they wanted on strava and some know it as anklebitter some know it as gumdrop
2. Chutes and Ladders is off Gumdrop near the giant boulder you squeeze by that broke off the cliff. It is just a series of a few small chutes like trails and to get to most of them you have to hike the bike up hence the ladder. They are not very well ridden in and hard to spot from the ground. And yes in da werks meant we WERE making a trail that was easy to ride up to the chutes part. We stopped it awhile ago but there may still be a corridor there.
3. To get to Caddyshack you have 2 options. But how I will describe it is if you ride Gnargasm and either go down the rock to wood ramp or the EZ'er down line the trailhead to Caddy is after you come out in the clearing. Once in the clearing look left. The trail is up towards the golf course. It parallels the bcrt that goes to the dam. Or you can be on the bcrt from either direction and just go around that weak dumb "Cedar Fence" the county made by the footbridge there.

Boring? I think you may be missing some. There are several lines over there. Boring is not what I would use to describe Gnargasm and Caddyshack. Take a look at my map I sent. It's a bit more detailed with labels.No. I'm a low intermediate rider and I'll run through them if I'm riding through the area but they are pretty boring and very short. Unless I'm missing some. Across BCRT from Champion, right?

I try to get in a 20 plus on the days I have that kind of time. When the world opens I'll ride with you.I think I need to ride with people who can handle all that. I tend to get tired quicker when I ride solo for whatever reason. I guess I feel lazier when there's not someone else there to push me. [emoji846]Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

My favorite route lately when I have the time is to Start at Redhorn with a coffee then ride Sub Ninja to the bcrt briefly then hitting Gumdrop(anklebitter) to Gnargasm and Caddyshack. Then.. bcrt across dam and to Peddlers Pass. Then over to Picnic and some form of Deception. Then Snail for a session. On way back I hit Rim Job and then Picnic drops and then finish with bcrt either back to Sub Ninja or just take Parmer to Redhorn for post ride libation. If they were near the rest I’d probably hit them once in awhile to change things up. But I’d rather spend my time riding everything else and that’s pretty much my limit with stamina. I do think that rock roll into the curved wooden feature is neat.

I definitely think they are worth it.Woah. I was not aware there were trails east of peddlers. Worth the pedal over there?

Correct! He IS a bag of Dicks
This will be fun. EBD stands for “Eric is a Bag of Dicks” if I’m not mistaken. What’s hilarious is that every time I approach any ledge after a gut busting climb I can’t help but calling Eric a bag of dicks. I know this was the intention in naming that feature this and it’s worked...well done.

Ahhhhhh that's Toby. Got video to load. Just met the dude put there while working and he sent it. As you see the speed needed is not as much as you would think is needed. But if you go too fast the drop will be a bit rough as the transition is steep and will make the 8 ft drop turn 10 plus real quick.
