There are several downed trees\branches on Lake Georgetown between Cedar Breaks and Tejas.  Whose permission\blessing do I need to clear this section?

Just read the post above and its sounds like Lee Compton is the guy to talk to.  Can someone PM his info?

    Thanks!

We will contact the rangers and see if we can get a work day in.  I believe bow hunting is currently active on the south side of the trail around Cedar Breaks.  They had the park closed and everyone was hiking at Hogg. I talked to the gate attendant when I was clearing a tree at Hogg and he informed me they had hunting on the south side open.

Are most of the tress located before or after the 5mi marker, the 5 mile marker is after Cedar Hollow???

  2. Should have a route setup this Friday.  ARR Only got authorization to hold the event last week, so it is a rush to get things setup.  ARR tries to keep the distance between 8-10 miles for a lap.

Trail work stations will be setup on the course so that participants can learn about trial work and perform minor trail work to get extra raffle tickets.

The Flow trails are an option for those that want to ride them during their lap.  There will be a trail work station located on the Flow trails.  Completing the Flow trail work station will also result in an extra raffle ticket.

  3. As of right now, and we know it can change, Saturday and Sunday races are a go. The heaviest rains appear to be in the AM on Saturday, with rainfall totals dropping off in the afternoon. However, If thunderstorms are in the area then the kids races may get delayed or cancelled.

Sunday's weather looks perfect. The trail should be is in great shape and actually needs a little rain, very dry and dusty right now.

  4. Trail is already perfect.  Was out there Sat finishing up the trail markings.  Highs in the mid 70s for sat is going to make for a fun Event.  The event route is ~9.5mi.  Onsite Registration is available.  Just like the PaceBend race we will accept CC, cash, checks and Tap!   Sorry we can't accept any trades, especially any Goats or Fish tanks!

Volunteers are also needed for the event.  Sign up for a 4 Hour shift and then ride a couple of laps.
