  2. I feel like I've taken alot more in the years than given. So here is my offer up. Complete bike. 26in HT. size Large Scott Scale (2009?) Currently setup SS, has some old magura brakes that need a bleed. Fox F series RL fork 120 mm travel and 1 1/8 straight steer tube. And some flat Envy bars approx 685mm. Frame has one solid dent in top tube but I rode it for years with it like that. Lemme know if interested. Not really feeling part it out either. 35bdb9ee4bb66a7378f21a5cc45b9fef.jpgdef70065179ca86443da3c9d5ad6140c.jpg19ef19299483d80b51e719a4e15ee089.jpg9597ce9b6587ccd835a92816066d5728.jpg

  3. My favorite route lately when I have the time is to Start at Redhorn with a coffee then ride Sub Ninja to the bcrt briefly then hitting Gumdrop(anklebitter) to Gnargasm and Caddyshack. Then.. bcrt across dam and to Peddlers Pass. Then over to Picnic and some form of Deception. Then Snail for a session. On way back I hit Rim Job and then Picnic drops and then finish with bcrt either back to Sub Ninja or just take Parmer to Redhorn for post ride libation.

  4. My daughter is going to be 3 1/2 this month and I think she's ready for a pedal bike.  She's pretty much mastered a balance bike and now she's dragging her toes around corners destroying all her shoes.
She's about 39" tall.  She's kinda in between sizes, but I'm leaning towards a 16" bike.   I have no experience with kids bikes but from googling stuff the Spawn Yoji 16 and Commencal Ramones 16 stand out to me.  I would definitely get the Commencal for myself if I were 3 feet tall, but I'm super jealous of people with childhood BMX experience, so the Yoji has appeal too.
I also wonder if instead of getting one nice bike I should get cheaper craigslist bikes in 12", 14", 16", etc as she grows so she's always on the perfect size and so we can move on cheaply if she doesn't love something.
I suspect this forum is full of middle aged people with kids, what did y'all do?
Anyone have an awesome tiny bike collecting dust to sell?

I have a little princess bike that is available 12” tires but no pedals my daughter went from her strider to pedaling a 12” then a week later a 16 inch and now only about an inch short of her older sisters 20” mountain bike, I wouldn’t spend $ on something that she can out grow so quick, ur welcome to the 12 in princes bike if U want it it’s a solid bike my oldest used it and now my youngest blew threw it so if nothing else is a great “ just give it a try kinda bike

  5. The situation:
Fox fork should be arriving in Sparks, NV sometime today for its rebuild with a turnaround of up to a month.
Ready to roll:  hardtail Motobecane Ti Fly Team  with an MRP Rock Solid Rigid Carbon fork, but running narrow (no tread) tires since it's currently doing duty as a commuter.
MRP responded to me a few minutes ago that the fork will clear a 3.0 tire.
The fork cannot be converted to thru axle, it's quick release only.
I'm thinking about getting some wheels with wide internal diameter and trying out wide tires (2.6-2.8).   This will allow me to get on some mellow trails with a rigid fork and also see if it will ultimately work for non-technical bike packing in areas that have some sand.
Shot in the dark: Does anyone have some high quality light 29er wheels,  quick release, wide internal rim for reasonable price?  Something around 32-34 mm internal width looks about right, at least based on this chart:  Tire Size Chart for Bicycle Rim  Front tire will likely be 2.8"; back tire will be limited to 2.6", if that.
Also, suggestions for new wheels that are the same?

I have one of those 15mm thru axle to 9mm adapters if u do have a wheel that is thru axle and want to borrow it for a while, I would like at back at some point only cause I use it for trueing my wheels

  6. I *might* have some old Fox bushings (the plastic/nylon type) laying around somewhere. Let me know if that is what you need and I can dig around to see what I have.

That would work fine just need 30mm spacing and 8 mm hole, it’s an old iron horse I’m trying to upgrade the shock on for my boy and I thought I would just be able to swap bushings but that’s not working out for me
