Hi -

3 of us (guys in late 40s) from our biking group are headed to Palo Duro Canyon from Austin for a weekend.  Rough plan : We plan to take Friday off from work so we can get there by Friday evening and pitch our tents etc. We plan to ride the trails there on Saturday and drive back starting Sunday noon so we are back home by 8ish on Sunday evening.  We are open to a cpl other folks joining us! We hope to ride the long trail at Palo Duro on our mountain bikes. Campsite is already booked.

Sorry about that. I meant to say Palo Duro (was thinking about a trip to Caprock Canyon we did earlier this year  and ended up with the wrong title).  Good catch!

Hi Everyone, 

Planning a trip in October to Caprock Canyon State Park and this trail looks quite interesting - https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7033087.  Though feels quite strenuous based on where I am currently. Wondering if anyone has done it and how did you train for it?  Also, tentatively planning for a 3-day getaway (Fri-Sunday) from Austin on October 15th. Have a cpl people onboard but more are welcome. Thank you all for your help so far. Understandably many "clinics" have been closed and hope they come back. The REI clinic is sold out for the season so there's clearly demand for the sport!

Dear community 

wondering if any one can recommend instructors for MTB or if anyone here is interested in teaching? I am doing  intermediate trails but want to get better at my technique. I may bring another friend who is in a similar situation.
