  1. I’m sorry to report some deep ruts on peddlers pass. Looks like a single rider did it between yesterday when I rode by around noon and today (also noon).

Would it be worth a trail repair day soon or do we wait for more jerks to create more before fixing?

Edit:  I wanted to clarify the workday comment was mostly meant for Ronan (HoneyBadger) since he is the trail steward, I wouldn't know the first thing about fixing those ruts, I'm just willing to help when the time comes.

Anyone have a chance to ride the new berms on Peddlers Pass. Feedback?

I haven’t had a chance to ride, only spy from the path near the sports park, but the berms on that sweeping left turn look so great. That area always became so loose that the berms will be so wonderful for keeping the momentum that I have entering that corner.

Im going to be so pissed if I can’t ride before more rain hits.

Just got back from a trail walk. Totally hosed and has a few ruts from assholes. I got to yell at a few people for riding wet trails and feel better about myself for it.

The bad part of my hike was that my hidden stash/tackle box is inundated with water. My weed was totally soaked and my snacks were disgusting. The tools and non-edible supplies were fine though.

Which trails did you walk? I rode past peddlers and could tell it was way to soft from what I could eye from the crushed granite near the sports park. 1/4 notch was tacky in spots and no ruts, but I decided to walk out to snaggle rock and walk out the bailout since it was borderline.  I rode the rest of the regional trail towards the ymca and picnic and picnic x looked in potentially better shape than peddlers, but not rideable.

I'm certainly not going to go out there when it's wet!!

And now it’s raining more.  I live over near gnargasm and it’s raining on and off.

I was sure hoping the rain would miss so I might be able to ride some day soon.

  5. I can’t find where Honeybadger said it, but I took a sneak peek (by walking) at the surprises he has been building.  Those improvements look so fun.....now I just hope it drys out enough to use them soon.

Thank you for the awesome new features!

    TRAIL KARMA IS ALVIE....

I was building today when along comes a guy slipping and sliding on every turn. I called out to him, but he ignored me. Then wham, a big stick or rock got stuck in his derailleur and snapped it clean off...ha ha. I still walked over to him and told him not to ride wet trails.

This right here just made my afternoon.  Peddlers Pass got some revenge!

  7. Hey all, there was a post on the Peddler Cedar Park instagram showing the log has been taken care of.  I'm just passing along the info so nobody take an unwanted trip.  Thank you to all who keep the trails in such great condition for all of us to enjoy.
