He definitely looked pretty cheesedicky on that thing....but then again I’m about to put on lycra. But yeah, for some inborn reason I feel like he should keep that shit off the trails.
Just because he is not pedaling or powering it himself doesn’t mean he’s a menace really, I guess. I’m not sure why it bugs me...maybe because mountain bikers are hated on but he’s riding a trail with something motorized...I dunno.

First time I rode that rock was at night and I was a lot fitter. Today I just went through the tight part because fuck it. Sick ride today. I’m absolutely cooked. I’m at the fitness level now where I tell myself I’m gonna make a charge at EBD, I get to the flat part just before it, shift down the casette one spot and then roll right to the base with a half ass wheelie and stop because I got ZERO gas and ZERO shot at riding up it. But oh well.

I have the camelbak Palos and it definitely took some getting used to; however, I’ll never go back to a backpack unless absolutely necessary (rare for me).
Loosening during rides was an issue for me in the beginning but then I bought the strap holder deals (sorry can’t remember name) and it stays nice and secure now.
I carry 50oz water in bladder, pump, tube, patch kit, multitool, levers, and a snack. Sooo glad to get those damn straps off my shoulders and the pack off my back. Admittedly, I do have to adjust it slightly (just hiking up the position while riding) several times a ride but, for me, it has become second nature and the benefit outweighs any cons.

I think trying a tandem somewhere relatively innocuous like Walnut would be a blast. I saw a couple people on one at Georgetown and was like “whaaaat?” But it seems like good, boosted fun, potentially.

I’ll get out n clean up some stuff tomorrow while it’s raining. Thinking gumdrop/gnargasm/short trail across creek from gnar (I call it Scott’s Shit)...area.
Side Note: camped n rode Muleshoe this weekend. Forgot what a freaking fun, fast, good time (most of) that trail is!

Yes that was us. That new section is like Disney World for MTB. A little bit of everything. Luv the elevation and roller coaster drops.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkOk that’s it! I’m hitting this trail next time out!

Best Meditative Ride 2019 So Far
Woke up pouty this morning with dumbass foggy mist. Decided to say fuck it (cue bill oreilly .gif) and do a slick rock ranch (wet brushy) ride anyway. I decided I would stay positive and enjoy the ride no matter what since I knew the dirt should be ok (still hero).
Was humid as hell but oh well...reminded me of a bit more comfortable summer morning riding towards the end when the sun was out.
What’s peculiar to me is which rocks are wet and which aren’t...seems random but I’m sure it isn’t...something to do with weeping or some such shit perhaps. Anyway, Snot Rock was treacherous but Jammer was dry...I dunno.
Anyway, it’s turning out to be a pretty sick day and if you can, go gobble it up!!

The food they eat...probably plants. Being human is to be a hypocrite.

If it was right behind Red Horn around lunchtime today, that was me. I was helping on the craziness back there.
Y’all are making me actually wanna ride up there and check all that out! Sounds like it’s becoming worth it for sure.

Damn, I assumed the rain on Tuesday had left everything a mess. Now I can't get back out until Sat and it's supposed to rain again.
Same. Had the day off yesterday and squandered it like a BOSS.

It qualifies as art more than some of the other stuff I've seen in recent years (coming for someone with an art degree)... and it makes more sense than the stupid fake animal prints and fossils... Yea... leave it.
Well it needs a name then...

Yeah. I can see both sides but ultimately the city should know and care that people are fucking stupid and inconsiderate. If you’re building directly THROUGH a sanctioned, heavy use existing trail...then how about some cones, tape, something.
I mean, when we unpaid workers built trail...and when others still do...valiant efforts are made to TRY to prevent use before it’s ready. I guess the difference is we build/built out of pure passion and they are doing it because it’s their job, and heaven forbid anyone in government actually care about that until there’s an impending shutdown of some kind.

That looks scary as sh*t.
Is that drop part of a longer trail system or just a sessionable spot? Forgive my ignorance.

Oh yeah, Twink City was right after The Grotto...where you and your boy toy came prancing along in short shorts first time I ever met you.

Sweet cal topo layout. Always considered doing this. Good job. I might clean it up a bit and use this in future for people.

Let me and Rugger get ahold of that as well, then you’ll have so many labels it’ll obscure the actual trail.

I’m confused as hell trying to read about sag and geometry, but the hotness factor is very high!

Skate park at 430 ride. Deception to begin with.
I wish.
Just looked up when daylight savings begins and was happy to see it’s only 3.5wks away. Opinions about the legitimacy of it all aside, I’m stoked that I can do more frequent shorter rides after work. Might even break out the lights for a transition ride or two once it hits march 10.

Yeah that guy had zero business trying to ride that, but I guess in that moment it became abundantly clear.

How are the trails? What did you ride? I might go out there tomorrow. I really need a ride on the mountain bike!
I rode it all except West Deception after EBD. Started at Gumdrop n headed West.
Just the usual ride through mud in a few spots. Go get it.

Omg. What a euphoric post ride feeling. That ride was unbelievably needed and both the weather and the trails were absolute titties.
Fittingly, I got hit with the song “It’s Been a While” by Staind.
Thank you to whomever worked on the muddy turns just before and after Rainy Day. Much appreciated.

Meh. Dogs are for emotionally needy people.
As far as charging for trail access and private land stuff, I will be moving in about 7 years to SOMEWHERE TBD I will be more free to roam. And, why do we care about a hiking only trail again?

I’ll embarrass myself with a strava attempt at this on my next ride, but it’s gonna be tough to wanna hammer as I will still have mulligan, picnic, deception, daves, ymca to ride after. ALL I will be thinking about is beating dumbass FirstBlood.
