Any trail reports?
Yes, Deception was not in good shape yesterday with a number of areas with standing water, ruts, and mud. I don’t expect it to be any better now, but will check this evening. Saturday will likely be good. Picnic was surprisingly okay for riding. Some slick spots and typical low spots but rideable. Peddlers is not ready.

Cool! I’m flying back from NYC today and hoping to get out on the trails.
-
If anyone checks out the trails this afternoon let us know how they’re looking so I can update the feed. I’m currently out of town and unable to check them myself.
-
Ronan was thinking Monday afternoon. If someone gets bored and heads out there let us know how things are progressing.

Last edit: Does anyone know if suburban ninja would be rideable tomorrow like 6pm?
99% certain it’ll be good to go. Even Peddlers was rideable yesterday and given the warm temps and sun today the remaining tacky spots should dry out quickly.

I hit out at 745AM and it was fine. By 750ishAM there was a little sprinkle
Exposed rocks were slick as hell.
Got out after 4 miles of slow moving.
Now it is steady sprinkles

I was going to head out to Suburban Ninja to check it out tomorrow, but not sure what the trail is actually like. Think it should be dry by tomorrow or give it a few more days?
Should be good to go based on my experience.

Not surprised that Peddlers was wet, but 1/4 Notch, Picnic, and Rim were in great shape. The waterfall was raging on Rim but since the rocks on either side were dry I just bombed through it. Wet tire on dusty limestone incline was recipe for disaster though ….. well near disaster anyway.
Awesome thanks Throet. I bet the caked tires I saw were a result of the “creek” crossing or whatever you want to call that slimey spot on Picnic.
-
Yes. I checked trails about an hour ago and they were too cakey for my taste. Road the paved trail and saw a couple people coming off Picnic with caked tires. We’re getting a lot of sun, trails will dry fast.

BUILDING SESSION ON PEDDLERS PASS - I'm holding a building session on Peddlers Pass at 9:00am this Saturday the 16th. It's time to build the re-routes now the sidewalk is finished, add a new berm, and do some spring cleaning. We will meet under Parmer Lane and split into groups from there. I would appreciate any help you can give.
Cool, I'm in.

There's a big building session today at Brushy. People are meeting at the skate park at 6:00 pm. The plan is to clean up Mulligan, Deception, etc. I'll also be working on my own clean up on Peddlers (West Side of Parmer) starting around 4:30 near the skinny triangular bridge. If enough people come to help me there's a berm that needs to be finished near the rollers. If you can, please come and help in one or both locations.
Hey Ronan, is this event occurring rain or shine? I have a class tonight that conflicts with this event, otherwise I’d join, but definitely spreading the word.

Cool, I’ll keep an eye out.

Depends on when you rode. Last week, every morning there was a lot of condensation on the rocks due to the dew point.
-
Yea that’s Peddlers. Be patient and that work will be over soon enough, providing some welcomed trail additions/improvements.

I rode snail, west picnic, double down and the connector to rim trail. They were all perfect. Gotta assume everything else is good but I will let others chime in.
Those trails are decent indicators for most others, but the west of Parmer side of Peddlers Pass tends to need more time than those listed.
-
Did anyone else ride out there today? I just got out of class and won’t be able to get out there until tomorrow after work. A second opinion on trail conditions would be rad.
-
Great! Now we need signs that say “Do not ride wet concrete trails!” This is why we can’t have nice things.

My guess is that Deception is at least g2g. Stuck working so no riding for me 😭😭😭
-
Booooooooo!
Right now it’s still slick city. At work now and won’t be home until late this evening, but I’ll check things out later tonight or early tomorrow morning. If anyone checks out progress later let us know. Freakin dying to get on the trails.

Trails are g2g. Just watch for some low spots and slick limestone. Almost busted my butt a couple of times on Double Down. New Peddlers section is sweeeetttt.

I trimmed Mulligan and 1/4 Notch face slappers this past weekend. Picnic needs to see some weedeater action.
