Same. Gates/chains were how trail riding was controlled for some of the trails I used to ride in NC. 

I will not be able to get a ride in today. If anyone heads out to Brushy to scope things out let us know how it’s looking. 

Had these guys seen my recent 1/4 Notch report they could have saved themselves the hassle...

Ha! Lucky you made it that far. All trails by me are swamped. Mulligan is literally swamped, as in, I can’t even make my way over to it using the paved trail. I’d have to swim across if I wanted to get to Peddlers Pass or Candy Land. 

Trails are soaked. Doesn’t take a rocket appliance to know this. So why did I see people riding the trails? Because common sense isn’t common. 

1/4, beside some low spots that you’ll want to hike a bike around, is good to go. No caking on my tires. 

Yep, same. I checked the immediate trails near me yesterday (1/4 Notch, Picnic, Mulligan) and they were too wet. I’ll problably ride out again this afternoon just to see how things are progressing. If these trails are wet, Peddlers and Candy Land are soaked.

So I put on some lights and rode out...

Picnic - g2g

Mulligan - g2g. Typical low spots, but nothing to stop riding for. 

Candyland - g2g 

Snow White - g2g 

Gum Drop - g2g 

Peddlers Pass East - rideable but the bathtubs, errrr I mean rollers, have standing water. 

Peddlers Pass West - I had a guy tell me that all of Peddlers Pass was g2g. I call bullshit on that. Berms are soaked, tires were caking and I could HEAR the ground squish underneath my tires as I rolled along. 

Didnt hit up Deception because of a time constraint and Gotdurt had it covered anyhow. 

Ground is still soft, even in some spots that get decent sun exposure. I imagine any other trail with shade are worse off. If someone rides the area let us know how it looks. 

Anyone venture out this afternoon? I walked the entrance of Deception and Picnic this morning and things were pretty soft. 

I have a final tonight so I won’t be home until late, but after I may put on some lights and see how things are if people don’t beat me to it. 

Yikes. Last night I check rain accumulations and it showed nothing, this morning it shows half an inch here.

I’m out of town enjoying a 5 year anniversary with the misses, so I’m unable to check the trail, but it’ll be slick for sure. Let us know how things look if you head out there. 

Trails good lol It’s getting dark though so bring those lights. 

We got less than a tenth of rain, but yea this morning driveway and sidewalks were wet. Not too bad now. West Peddlers isnt in great shape and needs time to dry. 

Yea no joke, yesterday was a ghost town. It was nice. 

We got less than a tenth of an inch, hardly  even readable in the rain gauge. 

Supposed to have sunny skies this afternoon and next 3 days. Come on guys stay positive! 

We got around 0.75” about 100 yards from the 1/4 Notch East entrance. Hoping the sun dries things quickly.

I’m going to be MIA starting tomorrow morning until next Wednesday. Throet, Redrider, or whoever would you guys be able to provide trail reports so I can keep the feed current? Definitely would be appreciated and I can get you a beer sometime.

Haven’t heard anything else. It was definitely a mtn biker as my wife saw them carrying a bike out. Hope they recover quickly and get back out there. 

Apparently someone was taken off the trail on a stretcher minutes ago. If you’re on here, hope you’re okay and back to riding soon. 

I was having a hard time with traction on the short little climbs on 1/4 Notch and some of the descents were sketchy with how slick things were. Granted, this was this morning and earlier this afternoon, so the sun surely has helped at this point. 

Were in the part of the drying timeline where trail conditions are subjective. Most people at this point should at least go out and enjoy a ride, use best judgement, and spin on pavement if necessary. 

Peddlers needs more time for sure, although I’m sure that didn’t stop people today. Mulligan has usually low spots. A number of these spots will need work. 

Just rode a good bit of 1/4 Notch and Picnic, since they’re good gauges for the other trails. Still soft and very slick. This than makes climbs on 1/4 Notch challenging and shitty. Will check again after the half I’m running. 

*UPDATE* Trails are in poor shape. 1/4 Notch and DD are dangerously slick in spots, Picnic is a swamp in places and will need repair, and Peddlers is still muddy. No bueno. RPR is a good riding option for this weekend.
