  1. The dirt purchase isnt the only cost obviously. It takes a good amount of labor to haul dirt half a yard at best at a time into a trail like this and then place it where needed. And then shape it and compact it. And honestly it's gonna also be a constant upkeep issue. It will need replenishing dirt at times and way more attention to maintenance than a trail steward who works for free can give. It's more of a pipe dream. Natural surface trails are really the way to go. From what I saw out there I wouldn't say there is a spot that really NEEDS more clean dirt. It will all pack in fine after a few weeks of riding . 2. Tires and time. Only other two options would be buying a sifting bucket. (Which we considered. Or topping with purchased dirt. (Which I doubt the city would do) Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  3. We left one for people who like them. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  4. That's up in the air. For starters it has to go through city approval again. The initial plan pitched included both sides. They wanted to use half the budget. So we stuck to the side we felt had more opportunities. Other aspect will be if it is still wanted. I think we may go for a different feel over there if we do. I already am prepared for all the haters of wide open trail. West side is definitely not tight anymore. But that's fine. If you dont like riding flowy trail where you dont have to worry about hitting bars on trees or you like your trails to remain super muddy in average rains then the new work might not he for you. Also the idea behind this trail conversion is that we need a wide variety of trails in the Brushy area. This provides yet another completely different style of trail. We got tons of real tight singletrack already that wont change from that. Once Peddlers West gets real packed in and the vegetation grows in a bit I think even the haters might change their minds. 5. It has only widened by users riding a little wider in spots no trees except the ones that fall get removed. At least not to my knowledge. It was meant to be a tight twist short trail. We are going for a wide variety of types of trails in Brushy area and some of you weirdos like the tight slow twisty crap that makes you wonder if you will leave with a broken hand. The exit was pure luck that we made that drop work. The original exit was much less flavorful. I typically bypass it these days or go up the quick way and do CRU Jones drop only Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. If you are referring to the a frame bridge the answer is 3 fold. 1. Yes it was coming apart 2. It was intimidating to beginners and forced them into the creek 3. The bridge was ultimately too short and always had mud hole on exit because water would rise to that spot and Those who took the creek added to the erosion by widening the creek and carrying water up the trail. 7. I see what you are winking at sir. Damn injuns Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. The survey markings in the area dont suggest that it will. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Still on track. Would have been ahead of schedule. But rain physically stopped work for 3 different days and has made hand working some sections behind the machines very labor intensive. Should need 6 days of actual good weather. Light rain is ok. Spotty tsin is ok. This shit..IS NOT OK! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. This new bridge is really for this guy. A frame was too step for him. Gotta keep Peddlers beginner friendly Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. If you put whiskey on the trail...I WILL FIND IT Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Hahaha. No just a light troll. We did make that just recently on a job up the road though. We aren't making the bridges on Peddlers. That's all Ronan and another skilled craftsman. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. Here is the bridge KOM just built. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. 1/4 Notch Entrance is this way. Hahah Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. If they are a non helmet rider we already can assume they dont have common sense. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. Not actually accurate. There have been times where that entire area floods and the bridge stays underwater but deception is good to ride Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  17. I'm more understanding than others around me on this issue because I was one of them long ago when I first moved here. It was acceptable to ride in wet conditions were I grew up. I went to Walnut on one of my first rides here in my 20s. It was a similar situation as now.... rained a good amount and the following weekend days were beautiful. I got about 100 yds into the ride before my bike stopped. The dirt here was far more sticky than where I came from. So I try and not scold people but inform. You dont have to travel far in this mud to make your bike look like you rode the entire trail. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. Some trimming has been done on double down and 1/4 notch this last couple months. I had a group needing pay dirt willing to do some. The entire trail isnt done. If you see a particular spot in need now is a good time as any to show love. Ad¹ Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  19. That jammer rock wasn't us. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  20. Did you ride into the new development. Some bug hucks in there right now and you can rut it up all you want. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  21. No clue. Wasn't official. But neither was that line forming. It just got rode in. It wasnt a big deal since it was just off to the side by a little bit. If you want to unblock it go ahead. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. You bastard! Well technically I own a RAM Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. I'm sad to see that entrances are going there. Unless they change the road those entrances are after blind corner. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  24. The route down Wyoming springs should be unaffected as the dirt route is powerline easement and the concrete path belongs to the fern bluff mud Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  25. Rode a few bits n pieces of Deception today. Mostly to check on recent blockages and such. All are still in place that I checked. And I noticed a few more places where someone took the time to stop trail crossover by weaving branches as a make shift fence. Thanks to whomever that was. Trails were in awesome shape even if I wasn't. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
