Will Sprinklers be involved? If anyone would like to help build on Friday, PM me for details. It will be with your while. Something similar to Randy's Elbow.

From what I recall from the map that someone posted, the trailhead is near where the road takes a sharp left turn just after the guard shack.
Yes trail head is up in that area. Not sure what kind of signs exist as i haven't been out to see. But i do know they want people to park in the usual parking spot and pedal to it.Where are these trails at Reimers- looked for them last week, just to see of course.

Just one for now. They are working through ARRIs it just the one new flow trail out there? I know there was a master plan with multiple trails in that area, but I wasn't sure what actually ended up being built.
Which is funding off grant money. Hopefully more coming

Reimers is officially open.
"Travis County Parks has opened the new Reimers Ranch Flow Trails to public use, as of this afternoon. Bikers who use the Flow Trails should park in the regular Mountain Biking Parking Lot and bike over to the Flow Trails."

ThisI think the bad intersection at Picnic and the trail has more potential for trauma than Snail.
Snail everyone theoretically starts at the top and you and another rider would pretty much come down any of the trails at the same time or at least you would very likely be aware of another rider in your vicinity

You da man. In these times of no official trail steward you guys all rock.Quarter Notch is definitely not ready. I just spent almost two hours working on drainage. Still majority soft at crossings.

Hahahaha. There is so much funny about this. Not so much your comment. Because you may not have the inside scoop. But the fact that it is being advertised by them. It's not even on their land and they have nothing to do with it. It was built rogue and remains such . Who even IS ...Go RR?Maybe they should spend some money to repair that feature. It’s missing board right now.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Yes. Got lumber?Ok, The logs I was thinking about are not in that area..(sorry, feeble memory and all). Is there still a possibility of doing a skinny feature (or something) with lumber instead? We can still secure the shit out of it with rebar.

This is exactly what I picturedSkinny here that goes through the trees than curves to the right would be sweeeetttttt, but I’ll let the elves engineer a feature.

I am 100 percent cool with this being a skinny type feature. You wanna build it? Or at least design it and see where we can source materialsI know it's kind of like giving up, but how about we just turn this into some kind of log feature that we can lag bolt, cable, wire together and be done with it? (yes, of course still have the none curb route to the side)
I thought it was a fun feature many years ago, but it's just been a PITA for a long time.
I had found some pretty decent size logs a while back that could be used??

Sight line improvements and grass cuttings as well as overgrown branches being cut are ALWAYS ok.At the quick downhill section on Picnic heading west right where the 1/4 notch bailout hits it, would it be ok to weedeat all that grass and trim some branches so that isn't such a blind corner when you whip around to your left? I don't mind helping but also don't want to upset trail stewards.

Soooo Technically speaking. That line is a designated BLUE line with Black features. We had to designate it that way for the county to keep the drops. In no way is any of that line so much a Blue lime to really call it thatCan we build a wall....ride?
On a serious note, in the grand scheme of things, is that one feature worth the battle? People don't want to walk on the hike and bike path because there are too many people to get their 6' spacing. This leads them off the trail and onto the sweet, sweet single track that we all know and love. They see a log crossing the trail and think that they will do everyone a favor by moving it. They'd do the same thing to ANY feature that was over the trail and impeded their progress. put concrete and barbed wire on it and things will just escalate. A lot of these people have nothing better to do right now than complain to the city about 'dangerous' features on the 'hiking' trails that could injury someone just walking along. There are a lot of us but there are a LOT more of them so I propose a different path.
Let's add some fun features on trails that are further from the concrete. You're going to find people on all the trails but the further you get from the concrete, the less likely you're going to find a hiker that would ever consider modifying a trail. My $0.02.
So any sort of tech feature on it added to the totality of it being a blue line and made in IN THEORY harder to ride as a precursor to getting on the ridge with the drops and IN THEORY making beginner riders not just happen to stroll up on some drops. Yes I know its REALISTIC impact is minimal... but that is the reasoning behind wanting to rebuild those features. And in my mind I'd like to REALLY make it a bit more technical but with flow.

Let's organize a day to do these spots. I say we go more extreme with it. Make real features. Like stacked log rolls and rock features cemented in place.Dude what the fuck!My guess is that it isn’t a mtn biker doing this. Hikers are probably seeing this as a hazard to their precious self.
Im busy prepping my yard for resod but afterwards I vote we add new features in place of where these fuckers are removing logs.

Like any ledge type feature on Deception it has gotten a wee bit harder these last few years as the dirt compacts around it and it gets a lil tallerI cleared Cyrus the first time I tried it, after seeing Gotdurt or somebody else's video. Then I cleared it a couple of other times on both my 29er and 27.5. On my fourth and last try though, I was going too fast and stayed too far right, resulting in Cyrus launching me OTB into the brush pile that was there. Managed to come away with just a few scrapes. Will probably try it again eventually but haven't been in a hurry to.

This is the method @Morealice taught me to get up EBD step. Here's another really good video for solving this problem. The key here is not to actually place your front wheel on top of the object but to instead glance off the top of it to propel you up and over while unweighting the back of the bike. It's called the punch. The timing can be tricky but it's a great move.

It's more an unweight the saddle and pedal through motion. Sometimes you need to shift weight to nose of saddle or just unweight saddle and thrust hips forward a bit. It all depends on the ledge height and your speed really. So get front wheel on top and then unweight and pedal through it. Might need hip thrust to propel bike forward if ledge is big enough or you going slow enough. If you wanna stay seated shift weight to nose of saddle. Sent from my SM-G950U using TapatalkI do have one question, I'm on a hard tail and going up the higher steps, I have no problem getting the front wheel up and over and I have the power to get the back wheel over them; but after I get the front wheel up, the back wheel hits and knocks me off the pedals or my pedals clip the rock ledge and do the same. Any tips to correct that? It's too high for me to bunny hop up, I can only fully clear objects about 8 inches with both wheels and that's when I'm lucky. Only about 6 inches consistently() and that is on flat ground. - 2

I have a bag of concrete to donate to the effort of restoration
I say we go even bigger. Or maybe longer. Make it more of a feature than a pile of rocks. But I'd be ok with just restoration as well

I could use that!Been meaning to get this up...
Hopefully for trail builders use... Going to someone who is willing to share with other trail builders...
Like new... Don't think it's ever been used.
You'll need straps though... And batteries... I borrowed the current batteries from a flashlight.
Moultrie Game Spy 4.0 Digital Game Camera...
See more on it here...

I feel like I've taken alot more in the years than given. So here is my offer up. Complete bike. 26in HT. size Large Scott Scale (2009?) Currently setup SS, has some old magura brakes that need a bleed. Fox F series RL fork 120 mm travel and 1 1/8 straight steer tube. And some flat Envy bars approx 685mm. Frame has one solid dent in top tube but I rode it for years with it like that. Lemme know if interested. Not really feeling part it out either.
