1. Ahhhhhh that's Toby. Got video to load. Just met the dude put there while working and he sent it. As you see the speed needed is not as much as you would think is needed. But if you go too fast the drop will be a bit rough as the transition is steep and will make the 8 ft drop turn 10 plus real quick. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
2. Video didnt load. For me anyways. But I have a a couple sender videos. Never does it justice as per usual. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
3. 29" tyres. rear tire is usually a 2.3 or larger on 30mm internal rim width with huck norris inserts. Im sure the inserts and thick sidewalls make a very big difference in how squishy the tire feels. I dint think I could get away with this with lesser sidewalls protection tires. About to try out these Nukeproof ARD inserts for better traction at these lower pressures. 18 can feel a bit like it will squirm at times. I know it isnt right for everyone cause it is a bit low and has more rolling resistance. But I like the feeling of the hookup in corners. There isnt anything to bash your Rim on while riding PP. I lean towards 25 if I'm doing enduro races and 20 for casual rides. But I try to ride like my zen masterMorealice taught me when learning the ropes. "Light on the bike brah"I also just learned a guy who I know is an amazing rider typically runs 11 psi at Jester! Crazy! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
4. I set rear to 20 to 25 depending how hard I think I'm gonna bash and 18 if doing hot laps of PP. And my front stays around 15. I also have huck Norris insert in rear. And I ride with thicker sidewalls like DDs sometimes. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
5. It's given name is Gumdrop. Back when we were going with a Candyland or boardgame theme. We had much more planned. But never done due to things and stuff. People on strava called it ankle bitter. For what reason I have no knowledge. So that trail is known widely as either those 2 names. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
6. Park under 183 a. No gates. Or at Dodge Cattle either in cul de sac (sorry Green) or at the western trail head of Deception on Staked Plains . Or just park in the parking lot of 7-11 if you just wanna ride PP and worried about curfew on gates Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
7. If a One Wheel can survive PP anything on 2 wheels can Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
8. Park under 183A and then just send it. Brakes are a weakness Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
9. Take that bad boy to Snail Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
10. Not bi-directional . But this is merica land of the free. I've not once in my riding life had success in receiving positive response when I encountered someone doing the "wrong" thing on the trail and called out for it. Not once did said persons ever change their course of action. I've tried mean, nice, informative, and on their side. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
11. My guess would be the lower trails like Peddlers and Picnic might be too wet. But the highlands like Deception would be ok but slick rocks. Snail is usually good in the rain up to a certain amount. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
12. Are Irish Coffees considered drinking or classy? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
13. This is definitely not part of the riding trail. It is just an off shoot people take to the creek it's hard to tell the difference unless riding it the way it was designed is engraved in you from repetition. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
14. Of course you would do it the less fun way. Such an XC DOUCHE Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
15. Fair enough. I suppose some well placed rocks and logs are in order to help define the path desired. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
16. I wish people would not do that. I always do the Caddy loop.. or just by pass the dam it's on the map (warning it involves temporarily trespassing onto the dam spillway) Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
17. Solid ride! I wouldnt risk DD or Rim when even a little wet either. But I also dont ride ALL of Deception on my route. I pick parts and directions I travel on it based on how I feel. It can zap you. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
18. Same. But I also hate rolling across that spot in general seems damaging to that spot. I've tried blocking it in past but people gonna do what they want. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
19. Answers: 1. Ankle bitter basically is Gumdrop. Some people called it what they wanted on strava and some know it as anklebitter some know it as gumdrop 2. Chutes and Ladders is off Gumdrop near the giant boulder you squeeze by that broke off the cliff. It is just a series of a few small chutes like trails and to get to most of them you have to hike the bike up hence the ladder. They are not very well ridden in and hard to spot from the ground. And yes in da werks meant we WERE making a trail that was easy to ride up to the chutes part. We stopped it awhile ago but there may still be a corridor there. 3. To get to Caddyshack you have 2 options. But how I will describe it is if you ride Gnargasm and either go down the rock to wood ramp or the EZ'er down line the trailhead to Caddy is after you come out in the clearing. Once in the clearing look left. The trail is up towards the golf course. It parallels the bcrt that goes to the dam. Or you can be on the bcrt from either direction and just go around that weak dumb "Cedar Fence" the county made by the footbridge there. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
20. Boring? I think you may be missing some. There are several lines over there. Boring is not what I would use to describe Gnargasm and Caddyshack. Take a look at my map I sent. It's a bit more detailed with labels. https://caltopo.com/m/BR36 Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
21. I try to get in a 20 plus on the days I have that kind of time. When the world opens I'll ride with you. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
22. My favorite route lately when I have the time is to Start at Redhorn with a coffee then ride Sub Ninja to the bcrt briefly then hitting Gumdrop(anklebitter) to Gnargasm and Caddyshack. Then.. bcrt across dam and to Peddlers Pass. Then over to Picnic and some form of Deception. Then Snail for a session. On way back I hit Rim Job and then Picnic drops and then finish with bcrt either back to Sub Ninja or just take Parmer to Redhorn for post ride libation. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
23. I definitely think they are worth it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
24. You dont like Gnargasm or Caddyshack? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
25. Correct! He IS a bag of Dicks Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
