What is the status of parking at the HoL entrance. Did the regulations wind up passing and if so anyone know exactly what they are?

That might be it. Where was that? My knowledge of Austin geography in 2003 is useless now. Liberty Hill? I think I recall driving for a while to get there.
Yep it was up in Liberty Hill. I used to live in the Georgetown area and I was there pretty much every weekend for years.

Anyone remember the name of an indoor skatepark in Austin 10-15 years ago? I recall visiting on in the summer of 03 but can't remember where it was.
I'd certainly session an indoor bike park when it's 104 out.
I still think that some rideable terrain under a highway overpass would be fun of it stays somewhat dry. I can think of a few spots...
I used to go to Ramp Ranch, but not sure if that was the one you were thinking of.

I'm in North Austin extremely close to WC (Parmer & Metric). Where are you located?
Thanks -CJB
620 and Lakecreek. What are the dimensions? I may be able to squeeze them in my wifes suv.

Speaking of garage remodels...
I've been doing just that in my current garage. Last week I removed these cabinets and would happily give them away to someone who could use them. In my garage they were built-in and had a nice thick plywood top (which I'm keeping).
Any takers?
Thanks, -Cody

I park two cars in my garage. How novel! That leave little room for tools and bike stuff. All that might have to move indoors because I am not leaving my car out for the vandals and theives.
Your supposed to put cars in a garage?

Great front tire, but you have to be comfortable leaning the bike over.
Joking aside I hear that the larger/newer sizes are actually a really nice tire. I may have to stop hating on them so much and try out a pair...not sure it is worth another injury though.

The real question though is how does everyone feel about Ardents?

FYI, if you decide to service the fork yourself get one of these to help press in the new dust wiper seals. It makes it way easier.
I just use an old vitamin bottle, but to each their own. This looks way easier though.

What does the bike setup process look like once it arrives to my door?
If I buy online, can I assemble myself with only basic tools and basic knowledge
or do I buy online and then take it into a shop for a tuning?I have purchased a few bikes online. The usual assembly that you have to do is basically put the bars, wheels and derailleur on the bike. Pretty minimal setup.

It could be the decorative item by the grinder in the earlier photo may play a key part in the storage/organization strategies being applied.
I have similar decorative items available to me in my shop and I would say it makes me more apt to organize things.

Is there a rules section that I am missing? I.E. not posting about illegal trails. Seen a couple mentioned now on here and it would be good to have a reminder for those that forget.

no way. i went and looked yesterday and every trail i looked at had mud within a minute on trail. Not good to just walk around either because that widens the trails footprint. XXXXXX
Dont post that stuff here man. Fight club.

yeah, i want to try some of those boney headsets. any particular recommendation? I did have more fun with some music pumping in my head some days, but I can't find an earbud that stays in my ear but does not block out sound from outside.
I got the this pair just to give them a shot and really like them alot. They stay on my head well and the sound quality is decent. If you like music with heavier bass you do have to get used to feeling it as much as your hear it, but otherwise I have no complaints. I did get these half off to review them so I would say that they are perfect for 25, but if would spend a bit more to get a nicer pair if you are paying full price. I have tried some of the more expensive pairs and they hug your face a little tighter so the sound transfer is a bit better.

Here is the link for the coupon I used for half off in case you are interested in reviewing for a discount as well.

sorry, but the plain and simple objective fact is that riding trails with headphones makes you a doofus. I have come to that conclusion based on my own experience as a doofus and a rigorously scientific sample pool of dozens of encounters with beheadphoned doofi.
Not arguing that fact, but if I am going to be a doofus I might as well do it safely and respectfully.

Mucky Nutz. Best $12 bike accessory you'll ever buy. Now you can shred muddy trails like a pro.
(Joking about shredding muddy trails. Serious about the fender.)
Maybe not for muddy trails, but it will help with the little rocks that get everywhere even when dry.

PSA for all of those who wear earbuds. Do yourself and every other trail user a favor and get some of the bone conduction headphones. They are amazing. You can hear your music very well and they minimally impact your other auditory functions. I got a pair about a month ago and they are amazing. I only use them when riding alone, but I can still hear everything that is going on around me perfectly.

Some hubs have the option of just replacing the axle for a thru axle. You may not have to re-lace.
Yeah...I briefly looked, but have not found anything yet for this hub. It is a formula hub not one of the nicer brands that would have that as an option.

You're off and running cheap.
Yeah saw these and got ready to email, but then I noticed quick release...
Edit: Decide to email anyhow. That is a great price for a just the rims even. Ill just re-lace the rear hub. Maybe even a single speed specific one. That would be sweet. Thanks for renewing my interest in these and making me look at them again.

GBMN and Sam Pilgrim are making them seem cool
Which is expected considering they are getting paid to do so. Plus even the guys repping them look like douche bags. I get that it is supposed to be gimmicky, but this guys attitude is exactly the person I would expect on one of these things just with a bigger gut...

FFS, are e-mtbs allowed on Brushy Creek? What would it take to get authorities on board with banning e-mtbs on every trail? Sorry BSS, I know you want to sell those Specialized motorbikes, but NO!
I cant imagine they are allowed. I wish shops would stop selling them to all these guys knowing there is nowhere to ride them. Just tell them to learn how to pedal a bike...they will get rid of their gut that is prohibiting them from properly riding a bike in the first place.
