D proper is primo... as of around noon there were still some slick rocks and a few splashy places, but with the sun high and the wind blowing, that should improve quickly. Gittit before snowmageddon tonight.
Rim was still a little slippery, but not sloppy.
Picnic is borderline in spots, mainly at the upper east drainage crossing
PX is a mess at both ends.

Damn this is getting ridiculous!!  I imagine that the online retailers have some metrics that show increased bike part purchases in areas where the weather is crappy.  "If I can't ride my bike, I'll just buy something to put on it."  I best the Austin area is showing up a big spike in their sales numbers.  I'm so sick of this...ugh.

And Reveille is closed for an event on Saturday. Anyone know if they’re open on Monday? It seems like I’ve ridden there on the Monday Veterans Day holiday before.

I thought about punching it, then decided to use a power saw.
Ran a new 220 circuit to it, and the breaker panel is right next to the door of the garage. I leave the unit on max cold and just turn it on/off from the switch on the breaker panel when entering or leaving the garage. Usually takes about 5 min to get comfy in there during the worst of the summer heat. It's not energy efficient, but it allows me to work out there when I want to.

I got mine in last week and only have one day of riding on it so far but I really like it. It climbs slow tech better than I thought it would. It is quite a bit larger than my last medium frame but it doesn’t feel that way on the trail. Mine is more of a budget build. Currently set up 150/140.

Browndog, you could have waited until after you rode it before casually tossing the words "new bike" out into the aether to call the spirits of precipitation.

What do y'all think?  Will the trails be dry enough for a ride before the next rain hits on Saturday?

It's a Reveille kind of weekend, it's looking like.  Nothing wrong with that, either!

RPR didn't get much if any rain last night, and the trails would have been open if it had. RPR will be fine this morning. You'll barely get a dirt on your bike.

That has happened to me twice now. They sent me replacements for both last time. I carry an extra on road trips just in case. My guess is the heat as well. Mine has been on the back of my truck in the driveway for about six years.
