I can make some sweet kydex down tube and rear triangle protection for that bike. the black would look great against that light frame too!
What do you charge for a set of kydex frame protection? I'm picking up my new Transition Smuggler today or tomorrow and considering the same things as the OP.

I think it would be cool to have a trail that is a tribute to all the bike parts that Seth has destroyed over the years. Like a “murder’s row” adorned with Chinese bars, busted rims, and frames that couldn’t take it. He could even throw in a few trail building tools or forest animals that got “Bucknered”
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHe would need a bigger trail system.

Did registration fill up? I registered and can't make it so I can give up my slot if needed.

To Tony's point (sometimes he has one), you gotta enjoy the irony of touting how well a retention system works in the same post where you are asking for the return of a lost bottle.

My coworkers are saying I need to go ride. My wife and kid have been saying it for awhile, but you know things are bad when the coworkers recognize it.

I kitesurf and this has been an above average year for kitesurfing. On days when it isnt windy I can ride.
Maybe take up kitesurfing?
I've wanted to try kitesurfing for years! How do I get started?

For clarification, would the bike to be sacrificed be tossed on the wet side or the dry side of the dam?
That's important to know - if you throw it on the wrong side then we probably get 2 more months of rain.

And Smokey Valley.
Yeah, the year I rode it I passed 3 broken chains as I was climbing Smokey Valley. I used to think Beauford was steep.

Were you the one that bought that smokin deal on the 2018? I went up there to demo it on Tuesday with the plans of buying it that night - they told me it sold on Sunday to some guy that came in to demo it and he liked it so much he took it home.
What I liked about it in Bentonville is that it just wanted to fly off every little bump. The front end was light and it seemed like it would be pretty fun both up and down the ledges we have here.
Where did you test ride it and what were your thoughts?
-
Anybody riding a Transition Smuggler? I demo'd one at OuterBike Bentonville and, out of the 10 bikes I rode, it was far and away the most fun. I'm hoping to demo one on the local trails just to confirm that it's a good fit with the technical stuff around here. Just waiting for Peddler to get one in ... and the trails to be dry enough for a test ride.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any experience with the bike or the brand.

Looking at the forecast, how does Cat do with rain?
-
Any updates on Brushy conditions?
-
I was told it was 3 inches. I just looked it up on wunderground (thanks to the rain accumulation thread in Trail Conditions) and it was only half an inch.
I did however see muddy bikes.
-
The area got about 3 inches of rain Sunday morning. I wasn't at Walnut but saw bikes leaving there absolutely caked in mud.

I ordered it five weeks ago and it has rained almost every day since.
Damn, Browndog, I'm looking at the forecast ... how many bikes did you buy?

What do y'all think? Will the trails be dry enough for a ride before the next rain hits on Saturday?
-
To Barry's point, is there a planned rain date?
-
Any trail reports?
-
I love the dually

You guys are too quiet - Are the trails dry enough to ride? Anybody going tonight?
-
Any chance any of these trails will be rideable this evening or tomorrow? My family really wants me to go ride!
Upgrading tires - what to pick?

I've got a set of 29" WTB Nano tires with good tread left. I got them from AntonioGG but they didn't work out for me. You're welcome to them for free if you want. If you have time and bring beer, we could even see about setting you up with ghetto tubeless assuming the rims work.
I'm in NW Austin.
