I rode picnic west to east to the swag bail out entrance and it was fine. Then rode up swag to double down. Rode east double down and it was also fine. There are a few of those off camber slick rock spots that are slippery af though. I also rode snail which was fine. Standing water in spots but no rutting.

Piggy backing off Throet's post, Mulligan was fine. Peddler's East was mostly ok, but I dropped off the halfway point because I saw some pretty bad ruts on the berms. There wasn't much sticking to my tires, but I didn't wanna mess up any of the new stuff. I didn't bother with Peddler's West. I expect Peddler's East will be fine tomorrow evening, if not tomorrow morning.

Speaking of Emma Long....
I only do the main loop when I'm out there. Any pointers on other cool spots to hit?

Just checked out the trails. Peddlers is a definite no, Mulligan is ok, Picnic is definite no. I rode about a third of 1/4 notch and ducked out because a few spots were rutting real bad. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, it should be fine in the morning.

Agree with you on the travel. Recently upgraded to the Diamondback Release with 150 up front and 130 in the back. I have yet to bottom out the front travel and the rear travel feels perfect for everywhere around here.
That bike is gorgeous.

And here's how not to ride it on a Karate Monkey. With a dropper. This is the first time SB got me. No real damage except for my ego 🙂 (The elbow/eye was the second time.) FWIW I have managed to make it over SB without incident, believe it or not. 3-4 times on the day this video was taken even.

I think the bigger issue might've been riding it on a fully rigid bike! You couldn't pay me enough to ride deception with no front fork. Kudos to you for trying.
My order of importance of equipment would be:
1. Helmet
2. Bike
3. Gloves
4. Front fork
5. Dropper
6. Gears
7. Rear suspension

How often should I be changing in the summer/winter? I went to replace the sealant in a bike before I gave it to my buddy and that shit was bone dry.

First thought was "why do that guy's wheels look so small?" Just noticed when the original post occurred. Youch.

I saw that fallen tree on Friday and it was way too heavy to move. Definitely will require a saw.
